MANILA, Philippines - Joshua Saret made history Wednesday when he sizzled for 89 points in Jose Rizal University's 171-43 massacre of Angeles University Foundation in the 85th NCAA juniors tournament at the FilOil Flying V Arena in San Juan.
The 5-foot-8 point guard from Mandaluyong surpassed the 82-point record set by former teammate Keith Agovida in last year's tournament.
Saret actually finished with a rare quadruple-double, grabbing 11 rebounds, dishing out 12 assists and posting 13 steals.
He made 33 of his 54 shots and 9 of his 10 free throws. Saret went 14-of-28 from beyond the arc.
