The Open Jive Challenge is all about developing cutting-edge applications for desktop, web or mobile, that will address key issues that organizations/countries face today, while fostering interactivity between communities on the Internet. In developing these applications, the following Open Source Software (OSS) development technologies are used: Java technology, JavaFX, NetBeans, IDE, OpenSolaris, MySQL, Glassfish, Project Wonderland, Zembly and other OSS.

The Final round will be held on 18 July 2009 (Saturday) at the Technological Institute of the Philippines, Quezon City. The winning team will represent the Philippines in the Asian Grand Finals in Singapore on August of 2009. Adelante San Jose !!
