Despite great dismay from yours truly, the LA Lakers are the new World Champions. This was a team that had everything. They had tall-long-athletic guys, players that can hit shots from outside, inside, a deep bench and roster filled with young guns to boot. Why did they destroy it?

Notice anything wrong? I do and it's sick. First off, Andrew Bynum. 12.5M/yr for a young, undisciplined, at times juvenile delinquet player that missed the majority of last season's games. Even when he was around, it was Lamar Odom that was getting crucial playing time in the closing minutes. Bynum keeps getting praised as the next Kareem and Kobe's successor. The guy is not even as good as Jerome James in his prime. Hopefully he doesn't end up like Jerome James. Lamar Odom deserves the kind of money that Bynum is earning. It's not about making money by taking away from others, it's about getting paid what's fair. And it's unfair that a player that has yet to maximize his potential is getting paid more than a player that already has. Wake up Mitch!

It seems that Odom doesn't want to be a laker anymore. (Manamilit na lang ko daan.) Buss was not happy that Odom and Schwartz have been talking with the Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat President Pat Riley about a deal, but have refused to talk to the Lakers.

The Heat and Mavericks can offer Odom only the mid-level exception of $5.8 million, but can give him a five-year deal up to $34 million. If the two sides do begin negotiating again, Lakers sources said Buss, if he's willing to talk, will lower his offer to Odom. Those same sources said Buss is a man of principle who sticks by his decision.

Pikatan ko gyud ni si Odom if he can't get the same or more than the amount Buss offered him.
