Sweep up the dirt!
I was the proud owner of a male and female Rottweiler. Jacob Riley Jens Nagel and Copper Penny Lexus. Penny I resued from the vet. The previous owner hated her and wanted her put down. I fell in love with her from day one. Jake I purchased so penny would have a playmate. It was a bright spring day and I let my dogs out the back door to play. After they played I let them in to get a snack and some water. As we came in there was an intruder in the house who oddly enough was in my kitchen sporting a knife. He lunged at me and I managed to disarm him of his knife but he still came at me and we ended up on the floor. The intruder overpowered me and I yelled at my dogs to bite this intruder. My dogs obliged but in the frenzy of the struggle my dogs bit me on the arm. I yelled which caused the intruder to pause and look up. As he did this I managed to get to my feet and retrieve a metal broom. I wacked him in the gut and took my best baseball swing across the head knocking the intruder to the floor. I called the police who came just sfter the intruder was coming to. They arrested the druged up intruder and I was never more proud of my two little(big) heros. My arm is fine and we went on to live safe and sound.

Everyone but us!
Our Rott "Crunch" was not much on barking, but if you heard his growl, it was the scariest ever! If you heard it, you'd best get up and check into it! One night a few summers ago, Crunch began growling and pacing outside (he could go out his door into our fenced back&side yard). I got up and looked around a couple of times..nothing. I told Crunch to "get over it", and went back to bed. The next morning we woke up to police cars all up/down our street! Everybodies garage had been broken into and anything of value stolen. But guess what? Not ours! Good dog Crunch!

She held back 4 young men
One night I was walking my one year old Rottweiler Tascha, when a car pulled up not far from me. Out came 4 young men, and they went right against me. It wouldn't have ended nice, if it wasn't for my female rottie. She walked in front of me to stand right in the middle of me and the men. She then started to roar and bark! The men then backed back and in to their car! Thanks to my rottie I came home safe!

Our Protector
When i was quite younger, on a fall morning, my younger sister and I were raking leaves off our driveway, which connects right to a busy road next to the freeway. My old Damascus, a 9 yr old German Rotti, was just sniffing in the ivy and bushes when a car, the driver of which was a man, stopped feet from our driveway. I saw the man looking in at our house, and our yard, and i began to feel uncomfortable. Out of the blue, ol' Damascus comes out of the ivy, and begins to sniff the air and gives out a low, rumbling growl, and when the man didn't leave, he began to bark and he trotted up to me. He continued barking louder, and eventually the car left. I have heard many stories about children being taken right from their own driveways, and I am so grateful that Damascus was there. I know that he was really sent by God to look after us, and he sure has done his job. Damascus passed at the age of 10, after his battle with lung cancer. Rest in peace my angel.

Saved by Luci
One late night about 10-11 pm my roommates dog was growling she was a very friendly pit bull. my female rottwieler "Luci" went over and the pit bull attacked Luci. my husbend doug yelled for our roommate to grab his dog as he held it back at arms length while having our rottweiler luci neck under his other arm holding herway from the pit bull, before he had time the pit bull attacked my husbend latching on to his hand and wrist. Luci being held back broke loose and grabbed the pit bull they scuffled around a bit untell Luci grabbed the pit bulls head and held on for dear life. It took 30 mins or so for me to get luci to let go our roomate Pual a hudge guy punched luci over and over be for i had a chance to get to my dog Luci was not going to let go she knew that dog just hurt her daddy. I think Luci is a hero. If it was not for Luci my husbend might have lost his hand had a crushed wrist. Who knows that pit bull could have moved for the neck. I love pit bulls and NO they are not all mean but this one was just not right in the head.

Marley the Maginificent
I have a 6 year old rottie named Marley. About two years ago, Marley, my daughter and I were walking home from the park. One of my neighbors had two pit bulls, a male and a female. As we got close to his house, I noticed that he was outside arguing with his girlfriend. I noticed to late that he had left the gate opened. The female pitpull ran out first, and Marley grabbed her by her spine and just pinned her to the ground, the guy grabbed her and threw her over the fence, but the male ran out and Marley fought him and ran him back into the yard. I was so proud of him and cannot imagine what would have happened if Marley had not been there.

Life Saver
My sister found a puppy in a dumpster in the back of her work. It was a rottie/german shepherd mix. We already had a lab mix, but our family fell in love and we had to keep her. We named her Coco, and where ever my sister went Coco followed. Well at that time in my sisters life she was using heroin(a way to try to escape and avoid her problems). One night, I was getting ready to go out, and I had just jumped into the shower. While I was showering I heard Coco barking hystericaly from inside my sisters locked room. I jumped out of the shower and my mother ran upstairs. We called for my sister and she would not answer, at this time Coco was barking louder and faster than ever. I broke the door down to find my sister on the floor completely blue overdosed on heroin. I called 911 and thank the Lord she was saved. My sister would not be here today(10 years clean, with two beautiful children) if it wasn't for Coco. And to think that somebody left Coco in a dumpster for dead. I guess Coco was returning the favor. I don't believe a family is complete without dog. Thank You Coco!
We Were Ment To Be
About two years ago we got a phone call form a guy my dad works with asking if we wanted a dog, a rotweiler. My mom and dad weren't sure about a rotweiler from all the stories they have heard. They went to go see him just in case they wanted him. When they got their they saw this poor dog, nothing but skin and bones, no food anywhere to be seen, and no shelter and tued to a fence with a three foot piece of wire. This was in the end of March and it was half raining and half snowing. He was shivering and barking at my mom and dad. My dad was cautious but he knew it wasnt a mean bark. It was a please help me kind of bark. The next day my mom just knew we had to help him. she didnt think we were gonna keep him, just take him out of those conditions. As soon as they got him in the car he started to wag his tail, well his little stub and licked my mom and dad all over. They got him an ice cream cone on the way home. He never even looked back as they were driving away. He is one of the family now and he has never left our sides. Always happy to see our visitors, loves people, goes buh byes everytime we leave the house, has the greatest personality of any other dog I have ever known. But he is a hero most of all because he brought my family back together again. Our family was falling apart and seeing what he was going through and adopting him into are home he has helped us all remember how much we all loved eachother. Now our lives are filled with joy when we wake up and see chulo every morning. He is my best friend and i dont know what we would ever do without him. Something made us get that fateful phone call asking us about a poor dog. I would never have any other breed of dog. I know how powerful the bond you can create with them is. We love you so much chulo ! Thank You
