Kobe: Artest won’t be a problem

Kobe Bryant doesn’t believe Ron Artest will mess with the Lakers’ chemistry, the blend of personalities and talent that brought them the NBA title this season.

In fact,don’t even bring up the subject.

The Lakers star bristled Monday when asked about Artest fitting in.

“Where is that concern coming from? Because he ran in the stands and kicked somebody’s (rear). You talk to anybody that played with him, he’s a great teammate. He’s never been a problem in the locker room,” Bryant said.

“He had that one incident in Detroit, which was unfortunate. But outside of that, it’s not a problem at all.”

That one incident was a brawl that cost Artest 73 games in 2004. He was suspended for the rest of the season and playoffs.
