wow... mga bro gusto pud ko maka.learn ani 2d and 3d animation, do you have any suggestions for me like software and trainings for the beginners or anything that you can help me to learn such thing like this 2d and 3d animation... thanks in advance to everyone...

magkat-on kag 2d ug 3d?...before anything else ganahan ka makat-on sa process?..and process alone or the whole concept of animation..mao nai angay pangutan-on sa tanang tao nga naai balak magkat-on..parehas ug chicks ba..ganahan ka manguyab anang bayhana kai chicks sya kai lami?..kai gwapa?..kai lami tilawan..or ganahan ka kai na na inlove jd ka..and ganahan ka makaila sa tao..so that's what you need to ponder about..the industry doesn't need one more mere animator but a THINKING ANIMATOR..and oh by the way you can start by answering my question above in all caps..try answering that..and we'll see if what kind of an aspiring animator or if not a kind of animator you are.

WHAT IS YOUR OWN DEFINITION OF A CARTOON?...WHEN DOES A CARTOON NOT A CARTOON?..A CARTOON BEING THE PRODUCT OF ANIMATION..ORIGINALLY BUT WITH TODAY'S CULTURE AND TASTES HAS THE CARTOON LOST ITS REAL DEFINITION OR HAS IT TRANSCENDED ITS OWN PROCESS WHICH IS ANIMATION...

i think cartoon is an visual art and a series of cartoon drawings creates animation(which means a rapid display of a sequence of images to create an illusion of movement). Well, i think animation is giving life to your character.

you're explaining more of the process which is animation well your definitions are true..pero what is a cartoon for you?...a cartoon is the end product of animation..what're your standards that makes you say that a cartoon is a cartoon for you..besides it being the product of animation and moving drawings to create movement...dig deeper..elaborate rather than just describing the process.

@azure This is an interesting thread you have here. I have a close friend here in Singapore who used to work as a traditional animator on projects for Hannah Barbera. He's currently doing 2d visual effects work for the jedis now so I'll try sending him a link to this thread. Maybe he can give you guys some juicy pointers as well. oh and I saw your deviantart, nice 2d works as well.

I know how to make a 2d animation (I prefer 2d anime, with 3d imports for objects and backgrounds). It involves a lot of processes. From writing the plot, to the script, to storyboards, to rough animations, background rendering, sound effects and music score, to voice-overs and then video compositing, then final. That's why I posted a thread (I don't know where it is now) concerning an invitation for all hobbyists to make a collaborative work. It's a series so it's more complex. Main plot -> sub plots -> scripts -> and so on. Not to mention there's a marketing endeavor after that.
