Default Does the breed really matter?

i don't mean to be offensive.... but it seems nga the breed of the dog is very important for the ppl who make posts here... for me it doesn't really matter to me what breed of dog i'm going to buy as long as it can be a good companion to me. wonder if anyone here shares the same sentiment as i do....

I think the breed matters because different breed share different traits and temperaments. and different people have different needs for dogs.

If companionship ang main reason for getting a dog,Â* choose those ones that are friendly and "sociable" (imported or local, doesn't matter).Â* When one decides to get a dog, immediately you think of a Breed that best fits your requirements (for instance, Guard Dogs - Dobe, Rott. etc....andÂ* ifÂ* I find an Askal who is equally capable, I wouldn't have second thoughts adopting the dog for that purpose! and giving him equal attention as what my other pets are getting)

When you said and I quote " but it seems nga the breed of the dog is very important for the ppl who make posts here..." hmmmm, medyo vague, please elaborate

Imported or Not, Dapat Love gyud nato ang mga pets -- My Askal eats the same food as that of my Rotties , gets equal attention and care

i agree with dark_rott, anyway i said nga "it seems" because it's something that I feel, not explictly stated, but implied. anyway i remember sauna, nakakita kog askal sa SM, akong gidala sa among house, too bad lang nasuko akong parents and gave it away to other ppl, otherwise naa pa unta to nako.....

    Brian,
Thanks for the inputs, very heartwarming! @ Gripo1983....this goes to show na ppl who owns pure breed/imported dogs, naai pud heart to help other dogs (in this case, breed doesn't matter).
