Default shopping for insurance - any recommendations or 'watch-outs'?

    hi all!

i'm presently looking for a good 'life, accident and hospitalization insurance package' and i would like to ask for the opinion of those here who have been down that road.

which companies would you recommend i buy insurance with and why? what package? and which companies do you think i should stay away from and why? (at a previous workplace, i had several officemates who had terrible experiences with an insurance company called Family First - and i don't want to make the same mistake of picking the wrong company to do business with)

    thanks!

    thanks everyone.

i recently saw this marketing campaign from Insular Life:

    http://www.hallwaysshop.com/insular/all.htm

the premiums looked ok at first but when i tried contacting them for details, the hospitalization allowance seemed kind of low. that is:

    for plan 200 = P 300 / day
    for plan 500 = P 750 / day
    for plan 1,000 = 1500 / day

i don't know if those are standard benefits, but they seem a little low to me.

tamarind & cc, i'll contact you siguro when im ready to buy insurance na gyud. right now i'm limiting my shopping on the internet lang sa. thanks!

Sun Life. I have exactly a policy that addresses the same concerns as yours.

Philamlife is also good as far as I've heard.

BTW, always remember that you are in charge. Never let the agent bully you in buying a policy earlier than you desire. If there is something you don't understand, ask clarifications until satisfied.

correct si gabriel. i myself am a plan holder. i am very sigurista where my money is going that's why di sad ko pataka palit and i don't force plan holders to buy from me. di sad ko ganahan og kulit nga ahente. decide on what you think suits your needs.
