Worth checking out mga movies directed by PARK CHAN-WOOK (Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, I'm a Cyborg but that's OK, JSA, Thirst, etc.)

Then there's KIM JI-WOON (A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, The Good The Bad The Weird, etc.)

And then there's BONG JOON-HO (The Host, Memories of Murder, Mother, etc.)

Korean movies are blooming and flooding the world with greatness.
Hope the Philippines does the same in the future.

For romantics, My Sassy Girl is a good one to start. Kay daghan man Korean rom-com na nindot.
There's also Windstruck, The Classic, Il Mare (which is way better than the Reeves-Bullock remake called The Lake House), and also Moment to Remember.

Taek Guk Gi: The Brotherhood of War is also pretty awesome except that it tends to be too sappy. But the war scenes are depicted more realistically compelling than Saving Private Ryan.
