Default Indian Scientists Invent New "Radio Frequency Cochlea"

    Indian scientists bridge audio divide
    By Raja Murthy

MUMBAI - An Indian American duo at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has created new technology based on the greatest engineering feat of nature - the human mind-body structure. Their invention, the Radio Frequency Cochlea, will not only enable a new generation of wireless Internet and communication technologies, but will also serve as a reminder of just how much civilization owes to the inner ear and ancient Asian powers of memory.

Indian American scientists Rahul Sarpeshkar and Soumyajit Mandal have merged human evolution with 21st century technology in their new invention - a high-speed, ultra-broadband, low-power radio chip that works on the same principles as the human inner ear, or cochlea.

Imagine the impact of this technology to our overly-clogged bandwidth space. Truly life-changing and to think, the technology comes from India - there is a genius born every minute in that part of the world.

Good info you got there rodsky!

Well, bro, there's a saying that goes like this... "Grow enough apples and you'll soon have enough worms." India has over 1 billion people, so even if the ratio of geniuses to its general population were 1:1,000,000, then India still has 1,000 geniuses! Compare that to the Philippines, 98,000,000. So if the ratio were the same, we'd only have 98 geniuses.

as i interpret it, it's the technology from MIT students. It has nothing from India -- except that the scientists are born there

Probably they got inspired by Amar Bose, founder of Bose Corporation and professor of MIT, who is an Indian/Hindu.
