    Default Another Email Scam?


    I just receive an email from a friend and his email address is in my address book.
    He is in the Philippines right now, and am sure of that. Here is the email and you decide if it's true. By the way, he is using the real email ad as I traced it.

    How is work with you over there,I am in hurry writing this mail to you.I am so sorry for not informing you about my urgent trip.I am in some terrible situation and I'm really going to need your urgent help.I had to travelled to Manchester UK,yesterday to visit a new Aero Contractor's Complex, Unfortunately for me all my money ,diaries and my return ticket was stolen at the hotel where i lodged, I am so confused right now, I don't know what to do or where to go,I didn't bring my phone here and the hotel telephone line's was disconnected during the robbery incident,so i have access to only emails.

    Please i want you to lend me a sum £1,250 GBP today, just to clear my Hotel bills and get the next plane home, I shall have your money reimbursed immediately on my return.I want you to send it through western union outlet.
    Write me so i can let you know how to send it.I'll be waiting on you at the Hotel lobby for your mail.

    Thanks alot for your response to my ordeal.I do not want to make a scene of this which is why I did not call the office or my house, this is embarassing enough.Please kindly help me with any amount you can afford for now,even if it takes you borrowing...i promise to reimburse you as soon as i get out of here.This is really urgent as it as kept me in a devastating condition.

    P.S. Incase, Western Union is a quicker and safer option.

    ignore it ... if such a situation is true, and you have that amount to give, just think: it is his problem and not yours! and i think friends should maintain such boundaries.

    yeah, sounds like a SCAM.

    obvious na kaayo. he needs you to lend him money via Western Union BUT there's no guarantee on how he's gonna pay you back.
