Default PSU Orientation in Antec 902

    Hey guys,
kinsa naa Antec 902 na casing dra? I have a PSU with a 120mm fan at the bottom. What orientation should be best since it will be placed at the bottom of the case? Should i place the PSU upside-down with the 120mm fan on top? Or the reverse but i'm just concerned about whether it gets enough clearance from the bottom.

I've just ordered the case so I haven't seen it for myself. Just would like to get your opinions first. thanks in advance!

i have the antec 300 with the same PSU orientation. elevated man siya gamay from the bottom, enough to allow the fan to suck in air but if you really want maximum airflow for your PSU, upside down jud iyang correct orientation. maglagot lang ko kay fixed-cables baya akong PSU tapos lisod nag samot ang cable management kung upside down.

actually, i'm also foreseeing that problem 'coz my PSU isn't modular. kung upside-down ang PSU, medu masayang ang 3-4 inches na length sa cables. aha kaha ta makapalit of extensions no?
gusto lng pud ko maglearn sa inu experience kung asa jud beneficial na orientation..

fineupgrades has extensions, i don't think you'll have problems with the ATX power connector kay duol raman siya ug daganan. ang problem is with the EPS 12-volts kay layo na siya ug agian pero putting the PSU in its correct position is okay raman, wala man ko nagkaproblema with it overheating.

Here's what I did to my Antec 900 and you can do the same if you don't mind the extra work

so i guess i'll try out the normal orientation first..then if i experience problems i'll make a hole at the bottom of the case.medu risky man gud upside-down ang PSU, matagakan palang og parts.. patay..hehehe

thanks for the advice guys..appreciate it..

correct me if im wront, if psu location in the casing is below and especially if it has holes then the fan should be downwards. air away from the casing.

if the cable is too short, i guess you have to buy some extension molex cables.

the PSU fan on the photo above is sucking-in air inside the casing and exhaust at the back of the psu where the power cord and the switch are located.

someone above pointed out that it's risky if a conductive debris may fall off from the top and shoots inside the fan and down to the components inside the PSU and causing a short circuit. I guess a filter or sort on top of the fan will help.

I'm aware of this and I admit yes its to risky... double ingat lng gyud. 3 fans are sucking-in air inside the case. The 200mm Big Boy fan above the case, 120mm fan at the back of the case and 120mm fan of my psu.
