i just recently bought an epson R230 for business. i would like to know if there are people here who have tried profiling (ciss ink brand, paper and settings) to get the best results. unsa man nindot na ciss ink brand that would go well with the photo paper brand that you use? also, if using dye ink, unsa man photo paper out there na UV/fade resistant and waterproof na nindot ang output and maayo ang presyo for business?

assuming you have a good photo printer, saying best results would depend on some factors; the quality of photo paper, ink, and calibration on printer's properties. printer driver also can affect the print output although it is not usual. some 3rd party inks and other brands of photo papers now are comparable to genuine ones in terms of color output & durability. most brands of photo papers nowadays can tolerate uv, fading(depends also with the ink used), and water although still subject to some factors. its just a matter on how one keeps the photos printed. photo frequently exposed to direct light specially sunlight has lesser life than the one not exposed. pigment ink is more durable than dye ink but dye ink is more superior in color blending.

chipmunk, i came over to your shop the other week i think that was. i bought paper from you and asked about your ciss. nindot ang prints ako nahimo with my still original epson ink and the paper i bought from your shop. looking forward to having my printer converted to ciss. anha lang nya ko balik when mahurot na ni akong original ink. i have a question though, can you do the ciss conversion without touching too much so that the epson service center will still honor my warranty just in case something goes wrong with any of the printer parts? i heard naa uban na ciss system na careful kaayo with the conversion para dili ma ilhan na gi ciss.

thanks. glad to know you liked the output of the photo paper. im using it too for my family and hobby photos.

about the careful conversion, epson can know if their product is equipped with ciss even how stealthy it is installed. its their product, they know it more than anyone else. some cartridge tray covers of some printer models also, specially epson, need to be removed when installed with ciss and might have broken cover tiny holder on the process to give clear passage of the ciss system specially with the tubes. there are other ciss retailers that even intentionally cut a certain part of the cartridge tray as their way of ciss installation for some technical reasons.

if you will just take care of the printer and ciss, won't abuse it, and follow the tips, youll have no problems and they will serve you for quite a long time plus the big ink savings you can get.
