religion is failing in the western countries.. that's why they are recruiting priests in third world and not so developed countries, like philippines, malaysia, indonesia, africa, etc.

its not that religion has failed, but the people in western countries have evolved into a different kind of consciousness na they don't believe in the God with human characteristics anymore (ma-jealous, ma-angry, ma-happy.. ), in the philosophical timeline, they call it the post modern era.

aside from those countries being mentioned, you forget to mention the countries in the EAST also.. like CHINA, JAPAN, KOREA.. more than half of its citizens claim they don't have a religion of any sort.. I have known many japanese and chinese na they don't bat an eyelash when they admit they don't have any religion..

who governs good or bad is totally up to the society ra jud na.. and then mother earth (nature) will have her say also with regards to our actions on the environment and the natural state of things..

informative mga posts dire.. 2 thumbs up lng ko..

brad, what i posted is based on facts.. google statistics of religion in japan or china..
ang ako kahibulngan, why you so defensive?
mura man pud mag-end of the world na kung wala nay religion oist.. dili oi.. mupadayon japon ang pagtuyok sa kalibutan, kalma lng brad..

pero naa ra na nimo brad, hold on to your religion lng.. yaw lng kahibung kung mawala na ang religion in the next decade or two.. ma-minority na lng na xa.. people will practice their religion in their own personal ways, and not impose it on other people.. this is exactly how japanese or chinese practice their religion. THEY DO NOT PREACH.

naka-adto na ka ug CHINA or JAPAN brad? malingaw ka kung unsa-on nila ug practice sa ilang religion.. even though they have VERY HUGE temples, and VERY LOUD gongs, most of it is ancestral worship.. walay ginoo2x nga super-power ug can be in any place at any time.. ang kanindot, walay religious discrimination.. dili parehas sa uban diha na kung lahi na ang tinuohan, ma-usab na ang panan-aw or paghuna2x.

its fun to experience different religious practices in the east.. kung maka-panahon ka, sulayi nya..

I think kebot's reaction is the default when personal belief is being threatened. The person tends to find fault/dangers from other beliefs. During arguments the person tends to attack the deliverer of the message instead of discussing intelligently or logically. Don't worry kebot this sort of thing your feeling will pass. This is part of your personal journey to seek the Truth. Don't let others tell you what to do but seek it for yourself. I'm happy in some ways you posted Dangers of Atheism, it seems to me that you have taken interest albeit in a negative way. But hey everybody starts somewhere. Good luck dude. I hope that it may show you the path to your personal enlightenment.

    peace
