it's not only about the understanding the meaning via one word or phrase alone like in a dictionary.
yes, analogy can also be described as a way of comparison but it's getting the proper context of the term. analogy is a rhetorical way of comparing things i.e. metaphors, similes, allegories, and parables, and sometimes by way of inductive and deductive reasoning. While a simple comparison is talking in concrete mathematical terms such as inequality/equality (<,>,=).
anyways, more on inductive/deductive reasoning to akoa to prove a point (many points actually).
you cannot say GSIS salaries should be equal to teachers pay coz GSIS is a GOCC and is not covered by SSL. unless u want to change, amend or upgrade the SSL mismo. and i already explained it via analogy or inductive reasoning.
i know and understand that what u imply is that it is quite unfair for GSIS employees for having high salaries, but they didn't violate any law or ethical issues for that matter. ang mas sakto, u should direct ur complaint against the SSL mismo, not against GSIS or any other GOCCs for that matter. gets?
and who said that kutob ra 10 yrs ang pension sa imong mama? c Winston diay? di ba ang front desk or cust service man? so why ur ire ur Winston when ur ire is supposed to be directed at those staffs below him. did u even bother to make a formal complaint regarding that matter? I'm afraid u didn't. basically, that is a problem within their level and not the level of a GSIS President to tackle with.
coz if ur mom's pension says it is lifetime, it is lifetime and not 10 yrs only. so if we take another analogy, kung naa ka sa Jollibee Colon Branch complaining about the service, u get their supervisor or branch manager and complain about the crew's service. You don't have to complain it to Jollibee Manila, or worse, maglagot ka sa National Sales Manager or something like that.
another example: if u got a beef w/ the service, u first complain to the supervisor ky nglagot ka sa tawo under him. if it doesn't work out, then u go to their manager ky naglagot ka sa supervisor ug tawo under him. if still it doesn't work, u go to their regional manager ky nglagot ka sa usa ka manager under him. if still not, then u go to their national manager ky nglagot ka sa regional manager.
dili ky tungod naglagot ka sa serbisyo sa usa ka GSIS staff or a GSIS branch , maglagot nlng pud ka sa Presidente sa tibuok GSIS or sa tibuok GSIS mismo...
