i guess it's now time to make a cebuano photographer's website.

i like photography and i'm still beginning to learn (just got a decent camera recently). right now, i know many technical aspects regarding photography but i'm still lacking on the creative and artistic side. my contributions could only be to make a website for photographers where users can have their own albums and photos (like flickr.com). i'm willing to make and host a photography website for any cebuano to use. do you guys think it would be worth the webhosting cost? or are there users here willing to donate?

What will make it different from the free photo hosts?

it would be a gallery of works by cebuano photographers. but only those works they are willing to share publicly. it would be organized by albums of users (aka sets in flickr), or also tags. but it can be better by enabling albums inside albums (nested albums).

other important features i'm considering:
1. automatic watermarking - upload a default watermark image and all your images will be automatically watermarked.
2. EXIF info displayed beneath the image.
3. commenting - (if the photographer allows it) users can comment (hopefully constructively) on the photos.
4. free - either ad-supported or maybe a premium membership system

the offer is still open and i'm open to ideas of features you want to be included on the site. but without the support of professional cebuano photographers, it won't be successful.

both options can be done. i'm also thinking about...
1. allowing ZIP files (containing JPGs) to be uploaded.
2. clean URLs
3. auto-rotate based on EXIF data

i am against...
1. hotlinking - due to financial concerns for the webhosting costs (sorry photobucket.com fans ) but this maybe enabled for premium users

i'm having a difficulty deciding whether to enable ratings for each photograph.

make it an option if you'd like to have your photos rated or not. some photographers would make this their online portfolio and it wouldn't project a good image towards a potential client if there are ratings plastered all over the place.

yea i like this one specially. aside from the other features.. there great too!.. dis one is really helpful! saves us time and effort...
