    Default Woodworking Projects Lets Share

I'm planning to make some wood working projects, lets share here, suggestions, recommendations etc...
Dili ko pro ha, lingaw2 ra ni ako-a. hehehe this hobby is a bit pricey pero when you see and use your finished product kay ma proud jud ka na ikaw ra ang nag himo.
pwede ra pod, na tigi-tigihon nimo og buy ang mga lumbers, and when your lumbers are all there you can start your work. so in this case dili nimo ma bulto og palit ang mga materials.

i have a lot of various woodworking plans(cabinets, chairs, tables, etc...) hehehe just try and ask something basin i can give you some diagrams

you can post here some diagrams of your projects (if you wanna share it)

I'll start. here are some of my diagrams... cut and assemble naka dretso ani. kompleto na tanan dimensions.

    1. the yard in consolacion - mahogany @ 28/bft airdried. lumber is left out in the open and there are checks at the edges. probably unstable and prone to warping. if you must use these, you have to stock it indoors for around 6 months to stabilize its moisture.

    2. armourwood (available at home builders) - radiata pine @ 87/bft kiln dried and treated. this is a beautiful softwood imported from new zealand. very nice and stable but pricey

    3. budget builders - mahogany (45/bft) & lauan (55/bft) - kiln dried already so it should be stable and straight. they also have yakal at 80/bft and its very heavy. perfect for outdoor projects
hope naa pod daghan wood working freaks diri koy, hehehe

bro john_yo, i disagree with you that the hobby is pricey. hehe. i started woodworking projects about 10 years ago and have already accumulated a lot of hand tools. i shared the passion with my dad who also has lots of tools. hehe. so now when i constructed our own house, i just do all the woodworking stuffs like making kitchen cabinets, mouldings, door casings, closets, tables, etc. so i guess, what we had paid before for the tools and the waste! (lots of wasted wood) are recovered because we dont have to pay expensive labor for the carpenters. hehe

i just came from budget builders and ordered some yakal and lauan for this weekend's pergola project. i also dropped by belmont for the 6" screws and anchor bolts. i will update you for the progress and pictures. im so excited. hehe

@DM, yes, I hope they have good lumber. nice baya ila price compared to armourwood and the exorbitantly high priced matwood

@kokoy what i ment was, if you are to gonna start this hobby just for fun its gonna cost you. tools, lumber etc... of course maka save ka sa labor pero like i said its for fun. i wasn't referring na you do this things for your needs like i do, i do it coz l like it and not for the need.

i think the pricey you are referring to is when you need something done at home or anywhere and you do it yourself. hehehe dili jud na ma pricey kay dako man ka ma save labor pa lang daan.

hope naa pa daghan mga nag hobby og ingon ani pareha nato.
