but in the Catholic religion.. Mary the mother of JESUS did not claim any...and she is the humble example... of meekness and submission..
and don't you say she is inferior.. SHE IS THE EARTHLY VESSEL OF JESUS!
and no HONOR is greater for any human being than that. to carry a GOD in her womb.
There a lots of pastors whom I think are even better example than priests who are married. So why not that too? For me, tradition could be such a crutch sometimes.
And oh, I am also for gay priests. Gender and sexual orientation doesn't really matter. For me, equality should be given more importance.
I don't support perverts and/or sanctimonious hypocritical priests though, straight, gay or female.
there's no problem with being gay and a priest.
they're mature and knows what they're into.
what's more important is being holy and celibate.
being holy, cuz their profession is serving GOD 24/7
being celibate, cuz they are married to GOD ( ordained to GOD and GOD alone )
and who on earth would like perverts and/or sanctimonious hypocritical priests though, straight, gay or female?
si KRISTO ra
The dog was given its meal, but it keeps on barking, on different passer by's.
Why does God have to limit himself to single guys? There are lots known married people who have served God that have done it exceptionally well. What is the difference of giving them the chance of bringing the sacraments to the people?
Let say, he has a wife that he sleeps with and children that he takes care of. Does that diminish him the capacity of serving God's people through priesthood? I don't think so.
If you try to reason single priests are preferred because of time. Priests don't work 24/7, or at least, it's not really usual that priests offer their services the whole day. Priests do sleep and eat regularly, and watch Manny Pacquiao's match like the rest of us.
You might say marriage brings so much stress and pressure into a priest life. On the other hand, I think if they would experience how it is really to be married and with kids, they would give better advice on keeping a healthy family. I do not think being a family man hinders his capacity to reach out and teach but strenghtens it.
And no, I don't think Christ supports priests that touches people inappropriately during confessions.
