    i know right

when japan fell, the korean peninsula was liberated from 30+ years of japanese colonial rule; this would have been a good thing...however, to appease the powers that be, a bunch of US politicians, brokered a deal with Russia, and by random picked the 38th parallel as a demarcation line to divide the peninsula between the two occupying forces, until it would be decided that the Koreans are fit for self-rule...this was done without consulting the Korean people

well, Russia is to blame too for sowing the seeds of communism in the north, but from what i've been studying, the division of the peninsula was mainly an american idea

the Korean war wouldnt happen in the first place if they didnt divide the country in the first place...it's something that irks many Koreans to this day: why did their country, a victim of WWII (just like our own), get divided in two, while the agressor, Japan, gets to stay intact...why was their country treated the same way as Hitler's Germany (i.e. divided in two)?

Really, have u read the Korean history? Try read this Korean War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

For me, why blame US. In fact, North Korea is violating the UN Security council. Therefore, North Korea is like fighting all UN member nation.

gikan sa link nga imo gi post

A month earlier, Colonels Dean Rusk and Charles Bonesteel, after deciding in their 1/2 hour session that at least two major ports should be included in the U.S. zone, had drawn the dividing line at the 38th parallel using a National Geographic map for reference.

David Dean Rusk (February 9, 1909 – December 20, 1994) was the United States Secretary of State from 1961 to 1969 under presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. He was the second-longest serving Secretary of State, behind Cordell Hull.

General Charles Hartwell Bonesteel III (New York City September 26, 1909 - Alexandria, Virginia October 13, 1977) was an American military commander, the son and grandson of American military officers.

waaa ang US diay nag plano2x ang divider sa north ug south hehehe

you guys don't really get my point do you?

i'm tracing the origins of this conflict down to the root cause...and that is the division of Korea, more than half a century ago, way before the Korean war; the cause of which was mainly a (IMO, haphazardly done) decision by US officials

it's no question that the North is in violation of several UN laws...but when you go through the pages of history, you'll see that it was that mistake in the part of the US that led to all this blunder
