Which internal DVD 16x writer to pick?

You can't go wrong with the LG GSA-4167B DVD Writer. If you want Lightscribe, then go for the GSA-4166B model. :mrgreen:

as for the price, of course mas mahal sa cebu or philippines. we have bad economy remember.
and i dont plan to go to taiwan just to buy a writer, mas mahal pa plane ticket nako ana.

hehe. mao. pcquickbuys price for LG writer is 3.5k. tti, although has the same owner and only 2 stalls away, sells it for 3.7k. walay stock sa LG sa pcexpress cebu but ila pricelist sa pcexpress manila is only 2.88k

Hi everyone,

Finally decided to got the black LG dvd writer (GSA 4167B). PC express indeed was selling the exact model for P2,880 but they have only the white one and there was no new shipment in sight yet. Nutech SM was selling for P3,400 but did not have any stocks. TTI SM sells at an incredible price of P3,700.

Had to buy the one sold at PC Quickbuys TTI (though not really a big fan of their service ) because they sold it at P3,450.

As it turns out, I had to pay P550 more to get a black model just to match my casing color. (sigh)

The only consolation i get is that when i tested the thing right out of the box, it can read the DVDs i could never open before on my firmware-updated ASUS 16x DVD-ROM.
