Albert Camus is an existentialist philosopher although he didn't like the association but his works bear the imprint of existentialist ideas according to literati. "Existence precedes essence" is fundamental to existentialist thought or in practical view -- one is not born a man but becomes one when he exercises his manhood.

Camus was a prolific writer covering as far as quasi-philosophical treatises to essays; from non-fiction to novels. He is famous for The Myth of Sisyphus, The Stranger and The Rebel.

My acquaintance with Camus is just so recent (2008 ) after I was enthralled by his literary virtuosity on The Myth of Sisyphus. I'm a Camus afficionado by definition than an expert.
