hey guilliam, just read this thread... congrats on your new pup Blaster!! He's really handsome! More than anything, I'm glad you made your gf VERY happy! What a nice gift to give her. Dogs are the best gifts hehe! I got my Cocker spaniel, Suki as a birthday gift from my hubby...and my husky, a surprise valentine's gift from him too.

You guys will really cherish having a golden, as they are the one of the sweetest and smartest breed. I'm sure Blaster will make the two of you even closer to each other. (murag naay bag-ong baby, conjugal hehe). I'm glad you changed your mind about having a golden-- cos initially you weren't interested in that breed. congrats again!

yes she(my betterhalf) is very happy on her birthday this year. last year she had a Shih-Tzu, Last 3 years ago she had a White GSD for her Graduation gift, and this year Blaster(a Golden Ret for her bday). i hope next year we'll have time and space for an Alaskan Malamute for her

good thing wala pa siya nakit-an Alaskan Malamute in person; tingali mahimo na sad ning DOG-NAPPER sa Alaskan Mal. karon dili na ni siya hinoon mo DOG-NAP ug Golden Ret, kay naa naman siya'y Blaster. ehehhehe

about changing minds; nah when it comes to dogs; for me "dogs are dogs, no matter what"; just that im biased siguro on a specific breed which is GSD na mao ako gyud breed of personal preference.

im now switching to "motivational training method" with Blaster compared to my GSD's that "kohler's method" is more effective.

so far being a "7 days" GR owner; when it comes to trainability of GR's; i found Blaster to be easy to train with same as GSDs.

last night; introduced Blaster in fetching/retrieving and stones and having his focus on the stone im holding and fetching. he is doing very good.

next would train Blaster for BH or "companion dog". i havent seen GR's which are BH trained. however; i see Blaster's high potential to be BH certified.

thank you. about sa club murag wala ko na hibaw-an labrador ra ako nahibaw-an pero sa LRCC naa man sad tingali mga golden ret.

kon maka apil ka sa walk this sunday sa CSDC we will be bringing BLASTER with the dogwalk. maayo unta makita nimo in person para ma assess nimo in person kay wala ko alamag pa kaayo sa GR. im only one day old GR owner.

pero super lovely gyud si blaster(mabayot ko ehhehhe).

Iam, Have a showline GR also at home 3yr old male from Aldeguer bloodline. The best GR's so far in Cebu before (Aldeguer bloodlines are imported GR's). Ako idea if you get a GR is that, dapat dili kaayo taas iya simud. Dakoon iya nawng dili talinis. Sauban tips wana ko idea. Male o female imo kwaon? Better female 4 breeding purposes. Ninong Jun Muntuerto has a very nice GR male and lots of lovely GR females. Might as well seek advice from Edward. I guess Admiral will stay with me. hehehehe

bitaw nindot ang golden retrievers ni aldeguer..murag english golden retriever..stocky kayog lawas nya square big head gyud..murag from canada and US man na iya breeds gikan....goldens from canada are just like the english type....murag iya namix sa US nga type, mao tag-as and nindot pod ang balahibo...
ang sa british kuno dagko ang GR og ang ulo niini and bug-at pero dili kayo tag-as ang coat, sa US breed kay tall and more slender ang ila goldens diha pod ka kakita nga murag naay pagkataas and talinis gamay ang simod, pero tag-as kayog balahibo....nindot kang aldeguer kay murag namix na niya ang both type...

ambot lang tagpila pod kaha ang GR nila aldeguer..plano unta ko mopalit sa ila, pero sa akong tan-aw murag mahal2x gyud na ...hehe!
