i think dli bro kay ang GTX280 needs 1x6pins and 1x8pins PCIE power, then ang ST50F kay wla may 8pins PCIE connector...
here's the pdf link: GPU Support

st60f if silverstone man gane imoha gamiton nga supply. ok kaayo na proven and tested na nako
ang st50f dili na modagan gyud 2 ka 6 pins raman naa gud pero i dont know if naa ka kato converter na makah 8 pins ka if modagan ba pero modagan siguro kay ang gtx 280 mga 230 watts plus plus man siguro ang kaon hehehehe kalimot ko sa exact

it can't support GTX280, why? first the connectors, the ST50F has 2 6pins PCIE connectors only. The GTX280 needs 1 6pin PCIE connector & 1 8pin PCIE connector to power the VC. second, the ST50F has 18Amps per 12V rails a total of 36Amps(dual rail) only . The GTX280 needs at least 17Amps for the VC itself, plus add your HDD, your optical drive, your fans & motherboard.

    very well said!

i don't think the card needs 17amps, that's way too low, that's like the 8800/9800 GT 12-volt rail requirement. the GTX280 is somewhere around 40-ish. my suggestion? PC Power and Cooling kadtong gina-promote ni fineupgrades sa Buy and Sell -- single rail BUT 60 or up amps.

sorry bai polds, my bad. the 17Amps i was referring to is per 12V rail (since the ST50F has dual 12V rails). the 40Amps is the combined amps (minimum) needed.

@ fineupgrades: now that sounds right,

@ ts: using the ST50F will never work for the GTX280. bisa'g i dedicate pa niya iyang multiple rail, di jud madala. matuk-an rana imong PSU. mao ni solusyon sa imong dilemma:

    • 750W Continuous @ 40C (825W Peak)
    • Up to 90% (10dB) Less Noise per Watt
    • NVIDIA SLI Certified (Dual 8800 GTX)
    • 80+ Certified (83%); .99 Active PFC
    • +12VDC @ 60A (Powerful Single Rail)
    • Rock-Solid, Super-Clean DC Output
    • 24-pin, 8-pin*, 4-pin M/B Connectors
    • Quad PCI-E and 15 Drive Connectors
    • Automatic Fan Speed Control Circuit
    • 5-Year Warranty and Tech Support

at least naa ka dako nga overhead sa 12-volt rail amperage. mas efficient sad ni siya kay single rail raman as compared to multiple rails na kung majority sa rail gigamit sa usa ka device, wala na...mausik lang.
