Lets give these alumni the benefit of the doubt. We know for the fact that these country that we live in doesn't offer many job oppotunities in the field of nursing for example. There were (say) 10000 graduates of BSN for 2006 & 2000 of them are now RN but there are only 1000 nurses hired in the country, so where do you think these other 1000 RN go to? Do you think they wanted to become PNB (perming naa sa balay) pabuhi sa ilang ginikanan? Of course these nurses would try to venture out to other fields just to earn a living to support their respective families!

bisan wala katungtong or human college maka-trabaho ra gihapon.
Sorry i beg to disagree. Being a graduate definitely help us land a job. It would infact aid us in getting to the right job for our degree if we know how to work it all out in the corporate world.

I don't deny the fact that there were graduates (even with flying colors) turned out working in the field that is far out of their degrees. And i also embrace the reality that there are many undergrads who are making their way out in the corporate world. Its just that there are people who tend to workout their career in a different way. Yet we can't say that being a graduate wouldn't help in getting a the job.

I guess for those people who were not able to graduate, they would use this idea that finishing college wouldn't help at all in getting a good job since they themselves were able to land a fair job even without graduating.

If i am to advice, as early as now, change your notion regarding educational attainment for the world we are in is a very treacherous one and everyone should be fully equipped with knowledge before getting into the battle in the corporate world.

from its etymological word "educare" which means to lead or to guide, education therefore is a tool to see what's more in life. it bridges us to what is new in this world to become enlightened with everything there is. the pursuit of wisdom, through proper education, for Plato is to save the soul from mundane corruption and bring the soul back to the world of absolute certainty and meaning- The truly real world of "ideas".

    @ incubabe

miss, i didn't think that when u applied at a callcenter, they hired u because of the fact that u are a graduate.

    in a specific field.

OT: Did i ever say that i was hired in a call center bec am a graduate of whatever field? I know why i was hired and why i am promoted many times bec i am very qualified for the job. I have strong technical background both on software and hardware with supporting certificates and TOR and that is my edge to other applicants. And FYI, in our call center, prototion is only given to graduates employees. If you are planning to become a leader in our company you should have finished whatever degree as long as you have graduated.

Also, the topic is not about how a specific person was hired. You are trying to go out of topic. Please refrain from doing so. Thanks
