It's not only SilverStone Sir, if you check the price of Antec, Thermaltake, Gigabyte, Corsair, Coolermaster, etc.. they almost have they same price and it's not only in Cebu. Don't compare their price to HEC since HEC manufactured their own PSU, so wala na mo agi ug outsourcing. so lesser ang expenses. The 3 years warranty is nothing to do with the price.

Anyway, it's the users choice na what brand of PSU they preferred...pricewise, qualitywise, & aftersales service..it's up to them...

upgrade ko from generic to silverstone psu sa ako mga pc....then butangan nko 2 or 3 vcards..bench bench kunuhay...wa man sad mo hagtos ang mga okoy....simbako lang ...payter ra man pud kaayo ni sila hehe

3yrs warranty = confidence/pasalig ba sa company for their design and choice of components.

If some PSUs have been manufactured by the same manufacturer it doesn't automatically mean that the quality is the same for those PSUs. Mass manufacturers are only contracted to produce the hardware from the designs (for example) given by Silverstone, Antec, etc... So the quality of the products will still be dependent on the companies that provided those designs.

If you notice, some companies in MEPZ do mass production of products (or part of the product) for other companies.

i thought FSP ang gahimo sa silverstone PSUs? 80-plus certification raman na imong gitan-aw pero you're right, there's a common OEM for every PSU. i'm sure FSP caters to other brands as well under a different name. the logic for this is that these manufacturers (silverstone, corsair, gigabyte, etc.) don't have the facilities to mass produce their own so they create their designs and a prototype is produced by the mass-producers and so and so forth. correct me if i'm wrong though.

Branded PSU's are made to "perform" not for "bling" effect...

So meaning silverstone kay wala jud silay manufacturing department sa ilang power supplies dba...they may have their own engineering designs but still they dont manufacture their own psu's, so mao na ilang lack.
