lets hope its just a sleeping disorder not the demonic possesions but its really hard to argue that it is a dream when in fact your senses are on. i cud say 80% tells me its not a dream.

kasuway ko ani but what really scared me is when my husband ang gi - urom. luckily i am always beside him when he sleeps. i heard him making sounds na and mura sya wanting to move/ so i tried calling him to check if he is awake. when he continued making sounds, nahadlok nko, so i shook him hard til he woke up. as in, you can see in his eyes na he wanted to wake up ganiha ra but he was struggling. it happened 2x. so , thats why, i dont leave him when he sleeps.

take time to pray before you lay down to sleep...-this would surely help you.

^^ mao jud. pray jud everytime u lay down to sleep and wake up.

maayo gani ang TS kay makakita ra siya. the last time i experienced this kind was really very scary. i dunno if it's urom kay i was lying on my right side. basta i saw this black shadow in my room standing at my bedside dapit sa akong headboard. the next thing was i could feel & hear myself grunting. wa ko kasabot. part of me was conscious pero di nako ma-control ang grunting. i prayed the "our father" and before i ended the prayer, i could feel and see a somewhat black smoke came out of my body. na-feel jud nako ang morag init nga nigawas sa akong head. naghangos jud ko after. mora ko ug gikan nidagan and i was sweating profusely bisag aircon akong room. i told my mother and my siblings about this incident. we all had goosebumps.

dis was my research in our research subject and this was our findings:

sleep paralysis, usually associate to paranormal, people usually experience this during nocturnal sleep (night time), they find themselves; shortness of breath, can't move their extremities and there is a black figure chasing them or holding them trying to kill or do harm... the explanation of this is, the brain's oxygen supply is less due to improper body positioning, due to fatigue.
when the brain is getting less oxygen there will be hypoxia( less oxygen in brain), so mo create ni cya'g brain wave nga maka cause ug nightmares... the main causative is less oxygen in the brain due to improper body positioning...

yes this is a sleep disorder... let me clarify things SLEEP PARALYSIS is different from "BANGUNGOT"...

this (sleep paralysis) happens during REM (rapid eye movement) stage of sleep... yes ur semi-conscious but u can't move ur extremities cuz u r still in ur deep sleep stage...

if ever mahitabo ni ninyo, juz relax don't move kay mas maka wa ug oxygen sa brain den mas ma ratul mo... relax for few minutes den after it try to move ur extremities(fingers and toes), don't turn ur head, ur whole arms or legs kay mas maningkamot kag langas den kapoyon ra ka...

@ warsucks yes dis is called urom...

this used to happen to me too when i went to bed really tired, pero paralysis lang, no form or being making apparitions near my bed. yes its a form of sleep paralysis.

when it happens, try not to panic and concentrate on moving a part of your body or turning to your side, which is supposed to put you back to normal sleep. during my worst experiences, i would turn to my side then find myself in the same paralyzed state (as if rewind-play). but the really worst time was on my birthday. fortunately, my friend was in the next room, heard me moaning, and woke me up.

is this also caused by any food intake or sleeping with a full stomach?
