you are saying pasalba ka sa U.S.? Gusto pod diay kag Bush ug recession?

Like any independent nation, we need to be running our own country. Your thinking is like this:

"I hate my parents for giving me independence and requiring that I be self-responsible. Ila ta kong gi tagaan ug YAYA FOR LIFE kanang mohungit, moligo, ug mo-ilo nako.

Well, if you look at our country today, I mean just take a look at it openly ...then look at Guam or Hawaii, "please" it was the Biggest mistake we all suffered! We could have been one of the many states in America where most of the us are dreaming of going!

I know there are those who died fighting for our country, well I thank them, but lets face it, we still could not run it our selves...

And one more thing, if by chance you re givin a US Visa today...dont tell me you wont take it!

Please take note that I know, and my relatives who are in the US have experienced the present problems there, but still its a better place to be, from Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush and now Obama, it doesnt matter, it still is America. And well if you consider the mainland US a "yaya" to Hawaii so be it.

I love my country, I love The Republic of the Philippines, but the Philippines as one of the state, It could have been heaven!

    @Jare
But don't you see the irony? The United States of America prides itself in its pursuit and protection of independence and self-reliance, yet here were are filipinos BEGGING TO BE ADOPTED.

And let me illustrate other examples of this mentality:
*Filipina women going out of their way to meet and marry old Americans for the visa and money.
*Filipinos working for Korean nationals here who behave in servile manners such that their employers lose respect for them.

Wala nalang gyud tay NATIONAL PRIDE? Murag mao kaha ni atong pinaka problema as a nation.

For me Sak2 si Quezzon wa siya nasayup. If only the people knows how to handle themselves then Filipino people can lead this country like heaven/hell. And if were are in hell right now....I'm so F*cking proud about it for not being a puppet to foreign people.

it was never about pride mao gisulti to ni quezon. bonifacio did it, rizal did it, aguinaldo did it pud ug uban pa. it was all about their love for their country, our country, our pipol. yes, pobre ang pilipinas tungod ky wla kaayo cooperation between ourselves and corruption. pro slowly, we can see the improvement naman. mao na kta maningkamot na ang atong mga anak ug ilang mga ma-anak ky tudlo-an nato to be something better than us. pra in the generations to come, we can be proud of ourselves, irregardless wherever we are na, na we help build philippines become the best country there is....

this statement was made back when filipinos were honorable and had pride in their motherland, unlike the current situation where the corrupt rule in the government

and wth are you talking about we can't run our own country??
china is fine without the american's why should we be dogs to them??
we can do it, but we like to take the easy road, and ride on the back of a bigger cow

Manuel L. quezon's statement was relevant back then, he did not know the filipinos would become corrupt and cruel in the future

i guess he believed in us so much, and we failed him tremendously
