For a Tasaday story mentioned elsewhere, try to watch Neil Fraser's "The Vanishing Earth" of the Columban-affiliated Interim Media Production Center in Ozamis City. This was followed by "Earth Voices."

I am very sorry for lapses in memory. Neil Fraser's "The Vanishing Earth" and "Earth Voices" were not about the Panamin-staged Tasaday. They were about the T'Bolis at a time the giant World Bank was intruding into their ancestral domain.

The last time I heard was that Neil has entrusted his Interim Media Production Center to the brothers of his wife Socorro. He has now embraced, so I was informed, a hermitic life in the mountainfast of Mt. Malindang, sharing that life with other of like minds cultivating a collective farm.

Neil is more Filipino than most Filipinos I know. Watch his trendsetting "Asa 'Namo Ibitay ang Bombilya" and you will definitely agree with my opinion of this great creative man.

@bycane, i think it was rob schneider's mom who is pure-blooded Filipina who is from Baguio.Â* She did some cameos in some of his movies.. for example in The Animal, she was in the beginning--just look for the old Asian lady.

Pero i remember clearly that rob did mention sa cribs na show about his 'dad in the philippines'. Basin na misinterpret lang to nako.

tia carrere is on dancing with the stars right now. it's a highly rated ballroom dance competition with the stars and half of the result is voted from the audience. she's not as good as the other stars but at least she's not out yet.

Rob Schneider was nominated as Worst Actor in Razzies for his performance in "Deuce Bigalow"..

deuce bigalow itself wasn't that really nice of a movie.. it got poor reviews here and there..

i thought im the only person who noticed their similarity have u seen the movie "The Great Raid"? it's a hollywood film starring joseph fiennes... it's abwt the POW rescue in our country and cesar montano played a major part in the movie, he's so good...

he didn't really play a major role but his role was significant. have you seen the official poster of the movie? his name was not even printed in bold and clean letters. all you can see are names of american actors. you can see his name in the credits though but they're so small.

Writer-director Q. Allan Brocka, the nephew of the late Lino Brocka, is following the footsteps of his uncle. He has directed a comedy entitled “Eating Out.� It is about crisscrossing gay and straight romances where a straight guy pretends to be gay to be able to get close to a girl he likes.

Q. Allan Brocka has said that the idea of “Eating Out� started as a joke in his screenwriting class at the California Institute of the Arts. He was required to write one feature-length screenplay and he added a lot of intense gay *** scenes. Then one day, Michael J. Shoel from Ariztical Entertainment, approached him looking for a script. This paved the way for the younger Brocka’s big break.

“Eating Out� has won several awards, some of which include the Best Feature Film in the Rhode Island International Film Festival, the San Diego Film Festival, Rome Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and the Istanbul Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.

Q. Allan Brocka

The writer-director won the San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and received a cash prize of $10,000. He is known for his popular Lego-animated “Rick & Steve� series about the “happiest gay couple in the world.� It starred RuPaul and Guinevere Turner.

This younger Brocka was named as one of the top five gay and lesbian directors to watch by a trade magazine and was featured in AMC’s reality series “Gay Hollywood� which followed openly gay men as they try to build careers in the entertainment industry.

this is interesting. i haven't seen the movie but my gay friends already saw it. i knew there was something about his last name. thanks for sharing the info.
