hahaha...i hope naa lagi ta ika blow out ani na recession man pod ang bulsa nato! toink!

to the new RNs: kung makapangita mo ug way na bisan sa asia maka kuha mo ug employment while recession ang major countries, go gyud mo basta makapractice bisan gamay lang.

lisod man gud ilarga na direct ka gikan pinas labi na taas pa ang competition sa mga naa experience against sa mga wala pa tungod ky less ang demand. be creative in finding 1 gyud ky sitting around wont do anything sa imo resume...basta d pa perfect timing ky particular ang employers ug naa experience ky kabaw sila naa daghan nangita na naa experience na.

pero kung taas na pod ang demand and wa na sila makuha mao mo settle na sila ug bisan newly grad. another suggestion, if u can enroll urselves to a 2nd foreign language like dutch, niponggo, etc..or european languanges ky naa pa gihapon countries mangita lang ug nurses bisan di nila consider as equivalent sa ila but u will get a title like an LPN equivalence man pod. one of this country is The Netherlands, they have 3rd degree nurses spots from time to time sa ila elderly facilities.

stepping stone lang gud. explore mo ug different embassies. search for employers in the internet, write to them...sulay lang gud mo!

hehehe... wish me luck sa ako search!
    going to OZ??
competitive kaayo ilang pay rates, labi nag weekends wid overtime.hahaha

medyo fast paced pod ilang lifestyle murag sa US. labi nag padu-ol ka sa mga pinoy na competitive dyud, bisan asa nga kilid sa kalibutan naa dyud ni sila.hahaha

try NZ too, pay rates kinda suck for a RN. unless naa kay specialization sa theater or ER. plus points sa, clam relaxing and laid back life. good place to put up a family, more family time dyud.haha

yes, most of my family members are there...that is one thing i dont like, na magpaduol ug daghan pinoy. its not that i am against it but even here in america, my husband and i are so careful being with so much people of our kind ky mao ra nay mo bira nimo pa ubos. most of the time, ur privacy is compromised.

on the contrary, i got a lot of friends and relatives too like in Brisbane, and one in Adelaide but they told me it is more less like the american way with regards to pressure ky medyo relax sila gamay. dili kau daw sila aggressive sa treatments and ang responsibilities sa nurse ky naa dependency gamay sa MD? my cousin who is a nurse told me, most of her senior nurses doesnt even know how to place an IV and its not even required for u to place one coz u can always call somebody to do it for u.

here sa US we almost do whatever is needed to be done to a patient before ma-hands on sa MD, mao ni ka independent dri sa responsibilities. bawas trabaho sa doctor but dag2x sa RN na side! hahayyy...

hahaha i know what you mean. ika pila nako ka witness ug pinoy community VERSUS pinoy community wa dyuy lami. i my behalf, i have more relatives in the US. wa lang ko ka praktis igo lang bakasyon. after 3 months, i made up my mind di ko mo settle diha sa US. na lagpot nako sa NZ dayog OZ dayog balik NZ, wala koy close relatives dire dapita...sariling sikap was one of my objective
mas ganahan ko sa PACE dire sa NZ bisag mu ingon sila nga mas dako ug rate sa OZ. nakalami sa mga kiwi kay transparency, sa OZ some people judge you with the color of your skin/ethnicity(co-workers ug superiors) mismong mga kiwi gina discriminate gani usahay. pero case to case basis lang pod.

they are keen pod sa imong job description, both NZ and OZ. usahay dili ka dawaton sa position kung overqualified ka. labi na kung ganahan ka mag teach, unya mura nag pang dean imong qualifications na turn down gud akong amiga.

dili man kaayo dependent sa MD as far as i know, regarding sa tasks... naka designate man gud ang mga tasks ug uban pa. pero kung certified practitioner ka unya honored imong credentials...you are a GEM, tipong mag bitbit ka ug call card.haha

aww, sorry to hear that. i feel you.haha its really hard being separated with your family (i had to learn that the hard way, at least i learned to stand on my own.). OZ is still a good option IMO. you can pretty much save up easily plus you got some family there. technically, kiwis go to OZ coz of the pay rates and the PACE(some kiwis prefer to live a faster pace compared the laid back NZ)haha

some pinoys, i've met and worked with in OZ pretty much stayed there to save up. OZ dollar is quite strong, and the weather is comparable to Pinas. most of the pinoys in OZ who came from NZ plan on retiring/bringing their families to NZ to settle. NZ is an ideal family haven,IMO. clean, relaxing, walang tambay, lesser crime rates, and cheap chocolates.haha

regarding citezenship, i know how hard it is to acquire the US citezenship. i dont know the tradeoffs/benefits between US vs. OZ vs NZ. but i do know it sure beats that dreaded pinoy passport.haha dugay kaayo sa linya kung pinoy passport ang bitbit, pila ka checks/background check to check and confirm its legit.

hahaha...u got it all right labi na sa citizenship! perti gyud namo paningkamot makaabot ingon ani pero di man pod ingon amo na gikalimtan among dugong bisaya. hahha, for security purposes lng but mao lagi na naa gyud trade offs.
