pila ang rate sa freelance transcribing? i have 5 audio hours for transcription.

  6. #26
I used to do general transcription for a u.s. communications company. naka work ko on files for as long as 2 hours audio time. patay2 ang work. but normally, i would take in work around 1 hour audio or a little over that everyday. kapoy kaayo. naa incentive if you do your work well. they paid .25 cents per minute + or - for good work or errors. back then, the dollar was high enough so pay was good. i quit after the dollar went down kai ang rate was the same. work with this company consisted of transcribing and editing so imo output, although ila pa i.check for final editing, dapat, client-ready. most were american english but naa a few files with accent. naa mi deadline nga 8 to 12 hrs from when you download your file.

for bad audio files, they paid .35 cents per minute as base. naka suway sad ko freelancing and worked directly with end clients or u.s. transcribers. you can probably find end clients willing to pay as much as $1.00 per minute. From transcribers na mo outsource sa ila work, they pay between .25 to .60 cents per minute.

tried british and american files. ang pinaka samok i.transcribe kai mga asian nga mag english and their native language in one sentence. pareha ug taglish. samok kaayo na transcribon. arrrrrrgggggh. but anyhow, mana man to hehehehe.. i find internet marketing a lot more exciting and less stressful for my back but maka lingaw ang transcription sometimes kai different topics man.

last week, i received a job offer to be a part of a transcription team through email. wa na man ko mang apply for transcription so i did not ask for details or ask kung pila ilang rate. try lang ninyo inquire sa globalestaff.com if you are interested kai ga hire na sila. i dont know if home-based ba ila offer or what but murag manila based man ni sila so maybe home-based gyud kai i am in cebu.
