Now that I've seen the subbed version, all I can say is WOW, this is one packed episode. Toradora never wastes time on silly cliches and antics, does it? The boys-hidden-in-the-girls'-closet may be a familiar scene in romance anime/manga, but Toradora managed to turn this trope into a sequence that created so much character development.
This is why Toradora is good. Every scene either pushes the story forward, develops a character, or both. Kannago's karaoke episode had SOME character development but for the most pure mindless fun. Fun, but mindless.
In Toradora, however, even the funny scenes tell stories of their own and the show itself does not forget what happened in the previous episode(s). There is no relationship reset.
It's confirmed: Ami is pissed that she can't read Minori. And I agree with her, Minori is such an actress. A faker to be precise. When put under pressure, her true self comes out.
Minori: You're just pissed because you're jealous!
Okay so Minori knows that Taiga has feelings for Ryuuji so she's giving way to Taiga, who in turn is working to get Ryuuji and Minori together. Ami, meanwhile, is aware of all of this and does not actively show her affection for Ryuuji, presumably for Minori's sake. (In a past episode she told Minori that she shouldn't be confused any longer, since it was proven that Taiga loved Kitamura at that time.)
Somewhat complicated, I should say but hey, isn't life like that?
The best part would be when a delirious Taiga mistook Ryuuji for Kitamura and apologized for still being broken hearted. She even went so far as to wish her feelings for Ryuuji were taken away.
Taiga: Make me stronger; no matter what I do, I can't stop... loving Ryuuji.
The episode was a little longer than usual. Wow wow wow
