Siguradoha nga ang "link" sa imong duha ka computer completo. Kadaghanan sa mga network cards karon dunay LED nga nag monitor sa link. Usually green light. Imo na nga i configure manually sa TCP/IP section sa networking. Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0

Pagkahuman, try to ping the other computer from the workstation you are currently logged in. Mag open ka ug command line window (DOS) unya i type c:\ping 192.168.2.2 kung naka login ka sa computer no. 1. Maayo gani, mahibal-an nimo sa ping result kung okay ang data nga na echo.

Make sure nga ang imong file and printer sharing naka enable kung mag file transfers. ka. Unya ayaw ug kalimot ug share ug folder aron ma access na nimo sa pikas computer.

Another way to network is via wireless even if you don't have an access point. Most wireless network cards have the "adhoc" feature instead of the default "insfrastracture". But this is the picture..

Comp 1 - PC, Administrator Account
Comp 2 - Laptop, User(limited) account lang

I have verified the connection of the cable already kay magcommunicate man sila

The problem is, i need to manually configure the IP and Subnet of the Comp 1(PC) para mapareha sa Comp 2(Laptop) kay dili man ko maka edit sa Laptop kay User account lang. Just like you mentioned, i need the PC to have the same Subnet and first 3 IP address sa Laptop. I did already through Local Area Connection Properties, pero when i tried IPCONFIG /all, dili man mao nang gawas sa akong gipang-set. Is this because of DHCP? How can i disable it?

By the way, nakaconnect nagyud unya ang duha ka pc kay makita sa sys tray pero mo ingon siya nga "Limited" daw ang connection and probably this is because of the problem above.

kung ma set nimo ang ip address sa administrator's PC, kana nalang ang i adjust nga mo match sa subnet sa laptop. kung maka ipconfig ka sa laptop unya makita nimo ang subnet kana nalang i match didto sa pikas computer.

Yep, that's what i'm trying to do. Ako gibuhat kay manual set sa IP ug subnet via Network connection sa Control Panels sa Administrator nga PC. Pero pag IPConfig /all nako, dili man mao nang gawas ng settings. Naa kaha lain pa-agi sa pagset ani? Salamat kaayo!

suggestion lang...since laptop ang isa nimo ka PC (labi na kung naay wireless) palitan na lng nimo USB wireless or PCI WLAN card and imo desktop PC para thru wireless na imo network connection dili na cable.. :mrgreen:

Possible, but magconfigure gihapon ko sa mga IP ug subnet? mao man gud ang problema ani, the crosswire cable is ok na, ang configuration nalang gyud prob ani..
