there would be total chaos and no one would listen to your rights as a member of this forum...
so ang point sa nimo brad maayo i-legalize ang drugas??..
its just like saying hand every single individual a gun and trust them no to shoot each other...
or trust their parents to teach them no to shoot each other... and when country would look like a warzone other nations will not ask every single individual why their country is like a sh!t hole.. its gonna ask the government.. and you would expect the government to say that its the peoples fault since they already know good from bad and right from wrong??..
kinda silly isnt it??..

why not legalize rape also to complete the package?
abortion nalang og i-legalize ang drugs...
sorry for the curses, im going to edit my post now.
i was a ron paul supporter, he's a great guy. Now, I disagree with his views on free market capitalism. The rest of his ideas are all good at least for me.
It sucks how we was given too little exposure from the media. Even though he was, in my opinion the most popular candidate on the internet.

ok lets get it on.
war on drugs isnt a one day thing you know, the situation is like this:yes druglords are being caught... but lets not get away from the real facts here...
Can you show statical data that drug use is in decline?
If not.. then its a failure...
but then again ill come back to my first argument...
"My Body - My Rights"
I have my right to my body and the government has no right to intervene on owhat I put into it... maybe parents or friends probably... but definitely not the government... again, the government is not ur nanny...
1. government busts a drug distributor
2. another guy takes his place
3. rinse and repeat
its a never ending battle, and if the government stops fighting it, then all the people who has access on drugs will be like this:
?
but i agree on marijuana though, study says that it has no lasting effects in the body. i agree with you on that op
the difference with baby bottles is that they are not dangerous to ones health, the reason why the government bans something is that it is dangerous, nothing good will come out from legalizing drugs imo.If there is demand for baby bottles. Then YES! there will be a black market for baby bottles, the demand doesn't stop because the government sais its illegal... if u really want to fix it... get rid of the demand, not the supply... coz nobody will be supplying if theres no one buying...
AND lets do some critical thinking...
There is a demand for baby bottles and the government bans it... BUT you happen to know how make baby bottles and u were selling them as a business... now the baby bottles used to sell for the price of 10 pesos when it was freely available...
But since of the banning, its now hard to find any baby bottles... but some people know that you know how to make baby bottles... so they ask if you can make one for them...
you say, ok but im selling it for 100 pesos... BUT people really need it so they are willing to pay you 100 pesos for it...
Now i ask you... before the banning you were selling it 10 pesos... but now ur selling it for 100 pesos and ur making TEN TIMES the money...
the question is... IF ur greedy .. im not saying you are...BUT IF YOUR GREEDY...
Do you really want the baby bottles to be legal so you can go back selling it for 10 pesos instead of your huge profit of 100 pesos a piece?
thats what I mean when I say that the true drug cartels never wants the drugs to be legal coz they will lose all theyre bussines, money and power...but with the legalization of drugs, crime rates will rise.
Yes, the government's job is to protect the individual rights of its citizen but not at the cost of individual freedom...
but don't get confused here...
If you rape and kill someone, your exercising your freedom BUT in turn u are also denying someone the freedom to live... THUS the government ought to nail your ass for it...
and i dont disagree... Police are vital are there to protect our individual rights... but unless you step on other peoples rights then the police has no business with you, at least not yet...
and here's one vital question ur not asking...
If giving up my freedom for security means I give up my power to the keepers of security... and in time if the keepers of security gets too much powerful, who will oppose to them when you have no powers left coz you already gave it all away...
thats what it means again that any society that gives little freedom in exchange for security is destined to lose it both...
and thank you op for bringing up this topic.
and sorry for the curses again, just edited my post, gonna post something later.
hi there Jollibee. Have you tried drugs? or at least have a family member who is so hooked into it that he pawns every single bit of pawnable items in the house? Have you heard of people swapping rice for a gram of shabu? That same rice was supposed to be for the family who hardly gets enough meal. Have you heard of drug addicts killing their very own families? How about an addict burning his own house including his wife and kids? I could go on and that everyone here (maybe except you) will agree that illegal drugs do more harm than good.
Legalize drugs? You must be kidding. I haven't heard of drug addicts who never became a problem to their families- even the light users. You can not compare drugs to alcohol. Its far worst than the latter.
And yes we have a government to control and set up a system. No matter how imperfect any government system is, it served its purpose of order. Freedom is good, but absolute freedom is another thing.
by the way, I read somewhere that marijuana heavy-users results defects to their babies. I'm just not sure if light-users of marijuana will.
cynic-
i admire your ability accept faults and correct it. If every politician and every single Filipino will just do so, then we can have a better country. Problem is- they kept doing the same wrong thing over and over again.
