    Holy cow.

    Facts.

C-130's first flight was on August 23, 1954, a full 9 years AFTER WWII.

UH-1 Iroquois "Huey's" first flight was on 22 October 1956, as the XH-40.

because of too many crocs here in our country, we cant afford to buy modern aircraft for out PAF. Do you know that PAF has been used by many pilots as training ground for their ambition to become commercial pilots. Ask around....mahal kaayo bro ang training school sa pilot. But in PAF...libre sweldado pa. After gaining enough miles of flying vintage aircraft at PAF, early retirement dayon, then apply dayun sa PAL, Airphil, cebu pacific and other airlines in asia.

your right bro! This days many filipino's wants to join Philippine airforce not because they want to serve our country but to train as pilots and gain more flying hours!

C130 aircraft and UH-1H helicopters in the Philippines are allmost 40+ years old! Imagine how they can fly that safe??

Much as they want to serve the country, they want out na pud because after they get to the rank of major they fly desks, not airplanes. Many of the PAF guys I know who are already at this level are no longer flying but are serving in staff positions, seconded to GHQ, PSG, ISAFP, House of Representatives or some other function that does not involve flying. The only way for them to keep flying is to get out and join the airlines.
