Default DAVIDE as Presidential Adviser on Electoral Reform

its about time that Davide will be in-charge in reforming the electoral process of the country..i think he's the most suitable person in this field considering the untainted career he achieved and also his undaunted wisdom and capacity to serve the public.

if there is one thing to reform in this country, then that will be the COMELEC..and DAVIDE is the right person for the job

    .................................................. .................................

Davide is Arroyo adviser on electoral reforms

CEBU CITY -- He was set on be coming a farmer in Argao, Cebu but a month after his retirement, former Supreme Court chief justice Hilario Davide Jr. is back in public service, this time as the presidential adviser on electoral reforms.

Davide was named Comelec chairman in February 1988 before he was appointed to the SC in 1991. He was considered resigned as Comelec head when he was tasked to lead the investigation on the December 1989 coup.

oh well, i thought he will be a farmer after his retirement.

IMO, the best thing Davide should do is to stay away from GMA. basin mahugawan lang nya iyang legacy nga gibilin sa judiciary.

for me also..he must keep away from dat madrasta presidente..sakto ba? we'll in my part, to serve the public as a publice servant is good but if the point of arroyo why kinuha nya si davide for her personal interest. alam naman natin na si davide ours (a cebuano, we love him so much for the accomplishment he made in the supreme court). if the scenario is this, na gusto makuha ni arroryo ang interest ng taga cebu. at alam natin na in the sws survey ang credibility of arroyo is low.low.low... . sa palagay ko hindi na nya makuha muli ang interest ng mga cebuano.

dis is an oppurtunity in part of mr. hilario davide, jr. to serve the public back agyn, wag lang cya mag papadala sa desisyon ni madrasta presidente...or kunin nlng nila ako handang-handa ako to serve the public, magpatagay dayon gyud ko..hehehee

bitaw... pero kong ganahan jud siya mo tabang, dapat dili siya magpa-tuta ni GMA, he should be firm on what he thinks needs to be done. Kay basin ma-tainted na hinoon siya og magamit ni Glueria.

as i personally know the Chief, i think he'll advise/do what he bellieves is best for the country. after all, he used to be chairman of the Comelec before he became a Justice. I also think that if his advise is not taken, then he will probably resign for one reason or another.....

    good choice!

Davide, as a Supreme Court judge (then) was effectiive in his work. He exercised prudence and impartiality (esp.) during the Impeachment Trial of former Pres. Estrada..
I bet as Presidential Adviser for Electoral Reforms he will be capable of doing the job above par bec. of his experience as Comelec Chairman, intellect and his modest attitude.

Personally, I want to oppose. I don't want this noble and well-mannered man stained by political dirt.
