    @slightly OT:
    At the start of this thread you asked on how to make the Zip Code to accept only numbers. I suggest you don't do this as some countries (i.e. UK) have alpha numeric post codes.

    This is just a follow up!!!!!

    I agree with just using ALTER command would be best.. AFAIK ... column sequences doesnt matter since it always depends on the sequence on your SELECT query.

    However if 10k+ records exist recreating the table can still be done using CREATE TABLE AS SELECT option... this creates a new table and drop the old table and recreate again using the same command above
