    Default Informatics Game Development Course?

    Hello,

Who enrolled in this course? What did it cover?

Although the article below (http://www.informatics.edu.ph/Client...dx.asp?nid=148), didn\'t give details, I feel that this is course
is very basic (no AI, no fancy math or physics) - loading images and sounds, moving/playing them, keyboard controls, simple collision detection, etc.

So You Want To Be A Game Developer? - 2/26/2005

It is all about the glory, the money, the job security and the creative satisfaction. Imagine seeing the game you created in your high school friend’s mobile phone or in the computer of your younger brother.

A game developer career is truly hot, but it will take more than just good ideas, you also need excellent training to back it up.

Informatics, a leading global provider of quality lifelong learning services, recently launched a new programme in Gaming and Animation with direct academic pathway for all aspiring game gurus.

The Informatics Game Development Course is a 12-hour programme designed for Java programmers and students of other object oriented technologies like Visual Basic and Visual C++. Students will learn the essential skills to develop a game program using Java and will be able to create a fully functional game application upon completion of the course.

For further studies, students may also take the International Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Gaming and Animation Technology abroad at Informatics Singapore, which will be offered starting April 2005.

Students who completed the advanced diploma course have the option to transfer at Northumbria University, United Kingdom to finish the final year of the BSc (Hon) in Computer Games Software Engineering.

Naa moy plans mag enroll? They need at least four students. Game development can easily be learned through self study, but I think enrolling in this short course is fun.

Available ko Sunday or Saturday. Pwede sad MWF/TTh 6-9, but I need 15 minutes travel time from Ayala.

Ang point ani kay lingaw-lingaw ra man... To me, school is not really a place to "learn." I can just read books and google for information on the Internet. School is simply a place where I get to experience new things and be exposed to a new environment. I want to have fuuuuun!!!
