I'll give you a hint.

Login is not entirely involved with javascript. With login session you should be concerned with server. You can only do that with PHP. Javascript is only executable on a browser and it has no connection to a server. Ditch javascript then.

Binding a user to a server is called Login sessions. Session only stores at least 1 variable that identifies the user (only awesome developers can do that). Each time a user logs in, it consumes a space on a server, even though it's very very very small (think about server traffic and processing) you should be concern between PHP and the server. MySQL is only used to store login data, but it does not concern about logins sessions entirely.

During a request, GET or POST, that requires a lot of trapping for user safety.
You need to research more.
