ang kakuyaw ani bro kay 20-40 year olds ang ig-un.. naa daw certain immunity ang mga bata.,I dnt know lang sa mga tiguwang..pero, wla mo natingala, 20-40 year olds ang ig-un. Supposedly sila'y kusug ug immunity.ang ako guess is, swine flu can only be transmitted by physical contact and fluids, such as saliva, or knang mga droplets sa knang mag-sneeze ka.so, maybe pud, katong mga 20-40 year olds, naay ka-close contact dd2 sa ilang naadtuan before contracting the flu. in other words, nag-biga sila ddtu..

naa ra mam, sa no. 7.. it's an advisory from CDC.. sakto man sad to nga best jud ang medicine within 48hrs period pero wla sad sila mi-ingon nga if after 48hrs na ka mo take sa tambal wla na effect....

The importance of early treatment is that the NA protein inhibition is more effective within the first 48 hours. If the virus has replicated and infected many cells the effectiveness of this medication will be severely diminished, especially over time.

    4. Can people be infected with Swine Flu from eating pork?
No. Swine flu viruses are not transmitted by food. Eating properly cooked food is safe.
    5. How does Swine Flu spread?
The virus can be directly transmitted from pigs to people and from people to pigs. Human infection with flu viruses from pigs are most likely to occur when people are in close proximity to infected pigs, such as in pig barns and livestock exhibits housing pigs at fairs. Human-to-human transmission of swine flu can also occur. This is thought to occur in the same way as seasonal flu occurs in people, which is mainly person-to-person transmission through coughing or sneezing of people infected with the influenza virus. People may become infected by touching something with flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.
    6. How can human infections with Swine Flu be diagnosed?
To diagnose Swine flu, are respiratory specimen such as sputum would generally need to be collected within the first 4-5 days of illness. Test is however not available in the Philippines.
    7. Are there any medications against Swine Flu?
Yes. Only Tamiflu and Relenza are effective against Swine Flu and must be given early, within 4-5 days of illness.

    8. Is the H1N1 Swine Flu virus the same as human H1N1 virus?
No. They are of different morphology but getting vaccinated against human influenza virus can decrease the probability of the illness progressing to a more severe form if you get infected.
    9. Is there a vaccine for Swine Flu?
Vaccines are available to be given to pigs to prevent swine influenza.
    10. How do I protect myself from Swine Flu?
Always maintain proper personal hygiene, wash hands at all times. Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Get vaccinated annually against human influenza.

Evidence for benefits from treatment in studies of seasonal influenza is strongest when treatment is started within 48 hours of illness onset. However, some studies of treatment of seasonal influenza have indicated benefit, including reductions in mortality or duration of hospitalization even for patients whose treatment was started more than 48 hours after illness onset. Recommended duration of treatment is five days....

@mam dorothea: kasabot sad ta anang duration mam oi.. basin sa however ka wla kasabot... ok ra na mam kaysa mag adik2x hehehe
