too bad for mexico, Israel and several muslim nations (milagro, kay nagkaisa ang mga kagwang) are lobbying to label the disease as 'Mexican Flu', kay offensive daw para sa ilaha na makadungog lang sa word na 'swine'~

True, sis .. but many of these viruses fatal to humans live or thrive in areas very much away or inaccessible to humans, i.e. deep forests, marshlands, grasslands. But with unabated logging, building of highways which cut forested lands, destroying marshlands for subdivisions, etc .. we make ourselves neighbors to these deadly organisms because we destroy their natural habitat and thereby vulnerable to these (think about the Ebola virus in central Africa) .. this is sad because in the name of development, we destroy ecological balance which will in turn greatly affect mother nature .. this is what I call, the rape of Mother Nature.

felt bad today, my husband's friend just told him his cousin in California died of complications from pneumonia but he got sick when swine flu started in CA. doctor's r trying to see if it actually was Swine Flu from the start due to the window period. by the way, he s filipino by blood and naturalized citizen.
