    Unhappy repair shop dropped my hdd, na guba, pls help me proceed..


    i brought my branded desktop to a ok nman na repair shop to have it checked unta... while taking out the hdds to have it slaved sa other na computer coz dili mu human og boot ang computer, the technician dropped it from a height of mga 4 ft high kay ni lupd out of the case to the tile floor.

    when gi check nila sa other computer, mag lisud na og ila ang computer. daghan sad kau errors during checkdisk. when in windows na, it can only see 1 partition out of the 2. dili sad ma access.

    they tried to to recover on it pero yesterday brownout man, walay agi. importante kau ang mga files didto. 250 gb sata ni cya late last year pa gi palit so impossible.

    i talked with the owner na and mu ingon ang technician that the hdd was dead when i brought it in..when my problem was there was something wrong with the motherboard. kadtong isa ka main hdd mu andar gud ghapon pag gi slave (wla na hulog). he said coz nag i/o error daw pag ni boot and ntldr blah blah blah.

    but that is not the case... the night before, naa koy technician gpa home service and okay pman to everything in it... problema lang jd dili mu boot kay mu hang (which was eventually solved by replacing a capacitor... im using the same computer now to type this out).

    what can i do naman with the other hdd drive if wala clay ma buhat? unsay liabilities nila? can i ask for damages so that i can have my hdd recovered by greenvalley? can i also ask them to replace my hdd coz gi guba man nila sa pag hulog? even if na recover ang data, dili naman stable or reliable nang hdd coz daghan bad sectors. so i have to replace it ghapon.

    thank you daan sa mga mu reply diri... nag problema jd ko coz didto na hdd naa tanan documents... gi separate man gud nko ang os and documents.

    there was no agreement before you asked for their services so...

    ...charge to experience?

    u mean even if they ruined my computer, they are not liable?

    you can ask for the management for a complete investigation. formalize it with a request letter to the shop's management, detailing the event and asking for possible solutions.

    u said late last year pa, so it should till has warranties (). if not, pude nimo ma-explain sa management what went wrong, they are liable if damage due to carelessness ang hinugdan..

    sa ako lang, you better exert effort on retrieving your files not on the complain kai ma hurot lang na imung oras sa complain plus mag labad samot imung ulo - I think your files are priceless

    pabayri to ila naguba na hd oi, nya try adto sa greenvalley para matry pd ug recover imo files..

    Prevention is better than cure. Backup if files are really important.

    Technicians side was an accident, and for that they may need to compensate you.

    thanks sa mga ni reply. i have backup man but dili cya that updated coz perting daghana files

    naglagot lang jud ko coz dili man cya mo ingon na the hd was okay pa before he dropped it... parang he is trying to say na guba na daan before na drop! uggghh!!!

    mahal kau sa greenvalley coz 4k, then have to supply new hdd pud... pwede nako ni ma charge ang cost sa repair shop (and not to experience). i already tried having an hdd resurrected sauna sa greenvalley... kuha jd tanan, mahal lang jd! haaay
