2.) there are a lot of songs i was looking forward they will give tribute to: toyang; poorman's grave, etc.

My take:

1. YES, I would agree that FrancisM did it great with the song.
2. That too... I was even hoping it was a Double CD.
3. Rico J. Puno made me smile with his cover of El Bimbo. really great!
4. In fairness with Cueshe, being part of the said album would also show that they are indeed getting known in Manila. Well and Good. But still their performance on HARD TO BELIEVE fell short. And in fairness with South Border, With A Smile was done THEIR way, but still, giving it an R & B feel was just OK. nothing more.

bitaw, speaking of tributes on EHeads songs, I heard nindot pud daw to ang version sa Razorbacks sa Huling El Bimbo...even Raymond Marasigan was impressed on how the drum was played on that song....Murag sa NU Rock awards man to sauna...naa mo MP3 ato? pwede ngayo hehehe...

Eheads' music will always sound best only they play it themselves. afterall, it's their music. so it's a given that the other bands can never do much justice on the songs, however, there are exceptionally few who can make it sound interesting in their own creative way.

the only sad part about this album is the fact that it's supposed to be a tribute. those who pay tribute should be fans of the band themselves, those people/bands/musicians influenced by eheads' music or those bands who actually think eheads' helped define the modern filipino music.

for those who did justice to the music, they understood the eheads' music. :mrgreen:

for those who didn't, well.. they were just included in the album for other reasons (to help sell or something) hehe

hala oi, Rico J. is one of the sanest artist selection in the tribute album. whoever says saag siya doesn't really know e-heads music. i'm beginning to like this thread!

YES, let's do that everyone. Honestly, they'd push thru with what they said. Coz Jam 88.3 is actually thinking of making a second release of the other songs that were not included in the tribute.

But then again, that's something we'll only believe once we see it on the record bars... HOPEFULLY
