you can use cross cable. XP can access windows 98 but i dont think it will work the other way around. File system issue.

cross cable, both can communicate, win98 to xp, xp to win98, no problem.

pwde pud ka gamit ug direct cable connection using your LPT or printer port..make sure imo cable is male to male ... puro sa LPT..or pwede pud printer port then COM port sa pikas..depende na sa imo cable nga naa diha..

if magamit kag cross cable..you need to have crimper para maghimo ka ini.. 2 ka RJ45 ug UTP cable.., since laptop na ang usa..ipaduol lang para gamay ra imo cable..bsag 2 or 3 mtrs.. ok na. , if naa ka migo nga naa crimper , cable ug RJ45, siya nalang pahimoa.. if wala ad2 kag computer store then buy nalang pang direct cable connection..kasabot ang computer shops ani oi..

making a single crossover cable is not advisable.. you need to buy parts esp the crimper. you need to invest time and it might not work. simply buy a crossover cable in computer stores. that would be easiest.. then configure your system for direct cable connection.

My suggestion to you is go to a nearest computer shops in your area and pabuhat ug crosscable just pay them the cost of labor and parts, ... LPT port transfer is very slow ...

bitaw medyo hinay ang direct connection... unsay man diay tuod imo icopy ? if mga gagmay lng nga files..disket nlng.. or if medyo dagko... USB flash drive..hehehe

pero ug dako gyud ayo.. aws cross-over conection nalang.. kaw lng bahala bro...

pag himo og cross na cable unya, e disable lang ang firewall sa XP kay mag labad imong ulo og dili nimo e-disable, then assigni lang og IP para dali ra mag kita. okies?
