YOU CAN CHOOSE
Why would a loving God set before us a life of prosperity and plague, of righteousness and wrong... of life and of damnation?Â* (Deut. 30: 15) His law is perfect (Ps. 19: 7 ) there is no question, on the premise that one believes that the Scriptures are His Word. But why set a way of death when by veering towards it by our own free will, we will be led into that damnation? He wants us to CHOOSE. On our own terms, in light of His commands, his righteousness and his infinite mercy. If I felt the least bit doubtful about my girlfriend, about her loving me the best way is to pit her towards a test, a test where she would stand at the starting point of kind of a crossroad. Either she'll choose me, I mean I'm kind of a good guy, I'm responsible - or the other high testosteroned dude who's a show off of his buff body just because he takes horse's steroids. It would be a risk, but there would be a thrill..... and you know what? I will feel accomplished and CHERISHED if she chose me over that guy whom through my own puppetry, I put before her opposite to me for her to choose between a or b. If I wanted her to choose me on her own terms in light of my love for her and she DOES so, how can I as a boyfriend be happier in the situation? Let me shift to a different topic, if you were convicted of multiple counts of murder and rape, and your best friend turns himself in to channel the blame on himself so that YOU can live, but all he asks in return is for you to change and live it right from now on...... if you were a person of conscience, you'd carry on with his request wouldn't you? Out of conscience and as a tribute, as a dedication towards your friend who turned himself in on your behalf. Someone turned himself in for the offenses of mankind a long time ago. Someone who has removed the wrath of a righteous God for the sake of the evil we have done. Again, base this on the premise that God's law is perfect and the wages of sin is eternal damnation. DEATH. (Rom. 6: 23) but God has a gift. Despite the evil that he permits to exist for awhile as long as earth is living it's final days, there is HOPE... but ultimately he has kept a gift that will never fade. An imperishable inheritance. Despite mishaps and or lowest moments, he doesn't rejoice in tragedyand death, instead he wants all to come to repentance turn to Him and be saved. (Ezk. 18: 31, 32 ) A gift so YOU can choose to live it right and NOT keep track of how many times you may have faltered, so that YOU can choose to press in on his Commandment of LOVE and COMPASSION. Want to know if there is any grain of truth in this kind of theology? Talk to me, I'll be glad to interact with you. I too am an undeserving sinner we can't help but sometimes stumble towards our offenses, because as human as we are in our quest for righteousness imperfection is inevitable, but if I grab hold of THE GIFT, then I have been purchased by a steep price..... when I was worth nothing at all. You can choose to take this gift too. You can choose. The choice is yours. And yours alone.
