nice ka poi! idol jud tkaw!
For my opinion the passion to program and learn is the key. If someone is applying just for the sake of a big wage then I think that someone will not make through in this field (IT). Take someone who loves his/her (well mostly "his" hehehe) craft. If you love what you're doing then you will be an asset to the company.
During my college years I knew a lot of people who have good grades but when the time came that they have to show there skills in programming they all fail to present that they really learned a lot after years of studying. While the other low graded guys in the back excelled and even were the lead programmers in their thesis.
These were based on my experience but I'm not saying all fall to this type. Peace.
How to be a programmer?
make fun of your team leader or your Boss about "Greeny stuff" and jokes. no shame!!! even our Boss called us like that.(just for fun)
Get in the flow. relax and have fun.
So TRUE!!! no joke. bwahahahaah
Pretending to be a programmer are nerds. Real talents are just around the corner.
Long time ago(years ago, first programming job), I toured my Foreign Boss to a "fun area". He had fun in his own way.
It doesn't have to be formal all the time. Showing also your bad side really helps too you know.
hahahahaha![]()

What matters the most is humility.
Personally speaking, we are part of the first batch hired by this foreigner. Starting pay is good considering our town. Anyways, my boss is a real nice guy (bataon paman). Bisag ma.late ka, ok ra. Bsag mu.advance ka, ok ra. Etc. And how he got repaid for taking us in? One of my former workmate was such an ass. Mu.take ug freelance project and mu.absent na saying na "mas dako pa man ning kwarta makuha nako kung freelance". Anyways, when there was a deadline for a Norwegian client, that ass just left so my boss got pissed and told him he didn't want to see the asswipe's face for one day. Anbd what does he do? Instead of being humbled, nidako pa ag ulo, saying na mas dako pa iya makuha if magfreelance sya and walked off.
So in short, check the humility and loyalty first. Imagine, dako na ng sweldo namo considering la pami ni.one year niya and we are in a small town, daghang benefits, not to mention I've learned more here in less than a year than the 4 years I was in college... Pero in the end, gitalikuran ra tanan just coz of a temporary quick cash >_> So ayaw jud pag.hire ug sobrang ambisyoso na traydor
experience and attitude![]()
very well said. The most important thing to do is NOT to choose people who are just aiming for money. Progress is the most important part than a quick cash scheme.
Big Progress, Big profit, earning more.......... and more stable than quick cash.
