    @brian_d:
1] while it didn't happen to me personally i was still run by that system and was under that policy and it happened to good people whom i knew very well when i was still there and they are still doing it.

2] this is what i told the "victims" but gi-daog sila sa kahadlok ug mga istorya. gi daut pa gyud sila sa ilang future or prospective employers.

3] i know that i could have made a difference while i was still inside but it was futile for the reasons that i already previously stated. in short, ipa sa diyos na lang ilang mga binuhatan. i thought if the victims did not do anything, why should i?Â* but i was almost a victim myself. ni attempt sila but wa ko nila makaya.

4] i agree with you that it would just be a lost cause. just like a revolution, it is only successful through mass action and when you win.

5] that's why i chose out. but with what i have, what i know & the people i know, i can still help my friends there but it's really up to them if they want to help themselves.

6] lastly, the employees has already spoken but all they got was promises and to no avail. it all fell on deaf ears. sige lang saad mga manager even the directors. samot ka-frustrated kaayo ang mga empleyado.

the bottomline is, let's just accept the fact na lang that we can be exploited and that we cannot do anything about it.Â* in the next few days, i'll try hard to convince myself of this undisputable fact of life in this part of the world.

pa unggoy-unggoy na lang gyud ta ani hangtod sa hangtod bisan gi tabangan na ta ug lugos. the worst thing is we will learn to like it. the issue here is not about character or attitude, it is about justice and what is fair to an employee.

if a call center is run by incompetent supervisors and incompetent managers.....

    Walay asenso ana...........

anyway nobody wants to complain because they will lose their JOBS.....
so they just keep it to their selfs because they have families who depend on them.....

Those who make a stand againts must be prepared to sacrifice their JOBS.... but they should make sure all their frustrations are heard before packing up........

You can do it in front of your collegues and talk back at your supervisors

I would do it if I was working at a call center.... I will make a farewell speech.... And will be ready to be fired....

But the problem is I don't work for a call center.... and primarily because I hate staying awake from 11PM to 7AM

You know I agree that justice has to be served. But maybe there is also just cause why these happened to your former officemates. If they only concentrated in doing thier jobs well. Being there on time, meeting thier quotas, having good matrix then maybe whatever happened to them wouldn't have happened. Or better yet na promote na sila.

That's how it is in the corporate world is. Dog eat dog. The sooner you realize this and play the game the better for you. You only have one life to live, LIVE THE GOOD LIFE MY MAN! You said you have options, good for you. As for your friends, problema na na nila.

no just cause, all lies and allegations and the basis was flimsy and was not able to produce solid proof. some of them were already promoted. the good veteran managers, decided to resign because it was no use bargaining with management for their team.

i'm in the corporate world. i am familiar with the game. but it's just different there. as i've said it is a corporate jungle. in that part of the corporate world, dog-eat-dog is an understatement believe me.

i did all these except for a farewell speech & it got me the ire of middle to top management but i said my peace and my colleagues lauded me for it but to no avail. they were not able to get rid of me until i got tired and decided to get out. i had the time of my life there, the hostility was fun. hehehe!!!

if i had a choice i like to go back just to spite them.

LytSlpr, If I am to share my bout of injustice in the labor world. I was a volunteer at CNMS back when I was a student in USC, when they ransacked and padlocked our office. All working students were dismissed with no apparent explaination from the administration. They were supposed to reapply and resubmit all credentials and documents for evaluation. Bsan all of them had summitted beforehand years ago when they started working. Ingon ang admin, nabasa daw tungod sa bagyo. Stupid noh?

We knew what they were up to, they wanted to get rid of all of CNMS old employees including working students. With just a day before enrollment period ends, with about 38 working students still unenrolled they were left with no choice. I organized a dialougue (ambot lang unsa'y akong nakaon, bec. volunteer ra gud ko didto and graduating pa gyud) and we went straight to the University President's Office, together with Student Body Officers(maayo na lang STAND and incumbent that time) and seeked audience with the President. Telling him, we'll go straight to SUNSTAR kung wla'y mahitabo sa dialog.

We told the admin, NOBODY else can run the org. you take over EXCEPT US, so it's either you take us back in or it will be your embarassment.Thankfully they saw this, the negotiation went well and all the 38 working students were enrolled and INSERT SUBJECT previliges (kay na late enrollment man sila). Ni-apil sad ko ug pagka working student so na FREE in the process akong last sem sa school.

The lesson I've learned is that, go to the negotiating table first and air out your grievances. Be wise enough to know the tactics of the management/admin. Know your options, if all else fails which in our case was the media exposure. But I was only able to do this kay I was still part of the system, otherwise wla sad ko'y mabuhat. Shit, like this happens. Just make sure when you make mass action it will be a success, otherwise it will be disastrous for everyone.

Since you're out, let yourself be in peace. You had your chance, you had let it slip by. MOVE ON.
