just stick to Videolan (Vlc) ull never need the others, but if you want control and manipulation of files i suggest u get K Lite Codec Pack...basically for viewing and playing anime files.

For those registered to anidb, gamita ninyo ang "mylist export" function. Gamit kaayo if you want to backup your list somewhere or other things you can think of (trade maybe ) ...

Another tool of interest:

Zidrav

Now, Zidrav it allows people fix corrupt data. It takes about three steps to fix a file, but requires two people. The first person has the corrupt file, and the second person has the perfect copy.

First, both people have to download Zidrav.

The person with the corrupt file will click on the first option Make checksum file. For the first box, select the corrupt file. Leave the second line and block size alone since they will be automatically set. Click Go and a CDT file will be created.

Send the CDT file to the person with the perfect copy. Now, that person with the perfect copy will make the patch file by clicking on the button labeled Make patch file. Then, in the new window, select the CDT file for the first line, the perfect copy of the file in the second line, and hit Go. Leave the third line alone since it will be filled in automatically. A patch file will be created shortly with a .CDP extension. Send that patch file to the person with the corrupt file.

The final and last step will be performed by the person with the corrupt file. Click on the last option labeled Apply patch file. Select the CDP file for the first line and the corrupt file for the second line. Press Go and you file will be patched. CRC check the file after.

first off, i didn't find a suitable forum to post this, so i decided to post it here since am guessing traders would mostly benefit from this.

anyway neko mimi if a program i made to catalog my anime collection, it can generate list and what not. i haven't written any concrete documentation but it's relatively simple.

please note that i only tested this on windows 2000 and windows XP. please scan the installer first after downloading.

for anime playback, these are my essentials:
- haali's matroskasplitter, for MKV, MP4 and OGM demux
- ffdshow, for most audio and video formats
- vsfilter, for subtitles
- media player classic
- hksfv, for SFV and MD5 verification

@cebu_tux: nice tools bro
