TREO 700W

I guess this is another run-out-of-the-mill experiment by Palm...

----> resolution is 240x240 as againsts 320x320 in Treo650
----> No WiFi....!
----> Processor is the same with Treo650 at 312mhz but I guess that's fairly sufficient for a power hungry OS like Windows..
----> CDMA Based.. Released through Verizon only across the US..

murag wala bay kay CDMA based man siya; dili siya GSM..... wala sad ko idea unsa nang CDMA

nope wala ni ang treo 700w sa pinas. CDMA also uses a digital network but technology is very different. the phones need to be programmed by the network operator and yes.. there's no sim card for it. wifi for the 700 requires the add-on wifi card. the 700w is exclusively for the verizon network pa.. maybe they'll come up with a version for the rest of the GSM world.

zire 21 is no longer in circulation. they've replaced it with the Z22. Which is okay as a plain organizer but you can't play mp3s, no expansion card

i hate palm OS, no multitasking! i cant live w/o multaskin.. im looking forward for the linux os later on future palm models

actually, it's quite alright kay paspas man kaayo mu load ang apps sa palm. shifting from 1 app to another is a breeze. most apps also save the last state that you left the program. total experience is very similar to multitasking. another good thing is the memory is freed up for other system uses.

windows mobile multitasking is a burden to the memory and eats up the battery faster because applications can be left running in the background. there's that added "maintainance run" everytime to make sure that apps are closed.
