obviously faith is not in any way debatable, as we have, if i shud say, different forms, level, or objects of our faith...pro for the sake of argument lng let's giv light to the obvious..december,during that age and era, is a month of cold Judean winter, and shepherds tending to their sheeps(and night at that), is quite unlikely, if not absurd..

nya if we base our evidences on the bible(disregarding those that contradict our perspectives)..i have a link here muddying more the murky waters..(then agen, this is just for the sake of argument..no harm intended)..
    BirthdateJCTvedtnes

so, if you search anything associated with the 'real birthdate' ni Bro, you wud come up with many links pointing out to one fact na Dec.25 was a pagan celebration, regardless of wat or who they offered such celebration..links are here and here..
but ang bottomline is, if ang traditional celebration is not harming anyone or is not intended to harm anyone, i see no fault in it(not that i know of)...

There is no record that jesus even told the disciples his date of birth,or is there any indication that his followers celebrated his birthday.besides di jud sya december. remember Luke saying na naa shepherds spending their nights outside with their flocks, so if december to, nigahi na to cla sa katugnaw! hehehe It is equally unlikely, that shepherds would have been living out-of-doors with their flocks in such inclement weather so how would we know kung nus a jud iyaha bday? i think its true that christmas was a pagan celebration. im not sure though.i dont see any date that shows his bday on the writings of matthew and luke. kay ako mn gud kung unsa naa sa Bible mu believe jud ko. so kung unsa ang wa sa Bible. its hard for me to accept it. mao na usahay ma contradict jud ang ako pag tuo sa catholic (even if i was born a catholic, i got to masses, ) i just read the Bible. coz sayop sad baya kung di ka aware sa truth. naa sad na sa Bible.

it was not even a cross. The Gospel accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John use the Greek word stau·ros′ when referring to the instrument of execution on which Jesus died. (Matthew 27:40; Mark 15:30; Luke 23:26) The word stau·ros′ refers to an upright pole, stake, or post. There is not a single sentence in any of the numerous writings forming the New Testament, which, in the original Greek, bears even indirect evidence to the effect that the stauros used in the case of Jesus was other than an ordinary stauros; much less to the effect that it consisted, not of one piece of timber, but of two pieces nailed together in the form of a cross.

Yes a lot of bible contradictions and guess what? The Catholic church who first compiled the bible was the one contradicting herself when it comes to religious dogmas. The Protestant churches just followed the mess. Isn't that ironic? Maybe that is part of God's will.

yes tinuod wala sa bible ang exact birth date ni Jesus, pero ma appoximate sa Church.

sa bible una naka hibaw si Elizabeth nga pregnant siya despite of her old age (approx. october). then after 6 months she visited Mary and knew Mary was pregnant (Approx. march 25) so a mother should carry her baby in her womb for 9 months. so its dec. 25 approximately. and the date was not in the bible is it that bad the we celebrate the birth of Chirst whatever date it was? whether we like it or not naa man jud na adlaw natawhan si Cristo kay nahimo sad gud siya ug tao.

kana sad sa holyweek ang gibasihan sa church ana is the day of Resurrection nga mao ang Sunday, so it must always fall on Sunday bisag unsang pitsaha.
