The Filipina Red Cross worker, who was kidnapped along with two of her colleagues in Sulu in January, was released late Thursday.
Mary Jean Lacaba was freed by her Abu Sayyaf captors, Senator Richard Gordon announced in a live television interview.
Gordon, chairman of the Philippine National Red Cross, did not disclose the details.
In a separate text message to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri said Lacaba was freed at 9pm.
